The Evangeline Trail of Nova Scotia meanders through the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. The valley is often referred to as Canada's first breadbasket and it is in this beautiful valley of cottages, croplands and orchards that the Middleton Funeral Home (Warren T. Roop Funeral Home) is located. It is situated in the town of Middleton with a population of eighteen hundred people.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Sometimes it's not always possible to attend a funeral in person. Travel costs, illness, or other reasons may prohibit someone from attending a funeral of a family member or friend. Funeral webcasting now makes it possible for those unable to attend to view the service live from their location, anywhere in the world.
It's never easy to lose someone you love. Losing a loved one to an aggressive cancer such as mesothelioma can be even more difficult, because a family member or close friend may be taken far too soon, bringing a sense of shock with feelings of grief, sadness and even depression. A private organization dedicated to furthering our understanding of and compassion for the complex set of emotions we call grief.

I spent $1100 on the last-minute flight from Alberta to attend my grandmother's service at this Middleton funeral home. The priest was drunk, had very red eyes and managed to call my grandmother by the wrong name TWICE. Then two years ago they removed her memorial from their website. I called, the lady who answered said they had reworked the website a while ago and so that is what must have happened. Wow, thanks, lady. This review is for you.

I highly recommend Middleton Funeral Home. Their kind support helped us through a very difficult time. The package that was sent with forms and directions as well as help filling these out took a lot of stress off our shoulders. Your guidance was much appreciated. We were very pleased with the memorial service. The atmosphere was very comforting. Special thanks to Andrea who was amazing to deal with.
