Double K Excavating began as a partnership between a father and son, Peter Koch and Emerson Koch. In the beginning years Peter Sr. and Emerson executed small jobs with a dump truck and a backhoe. Today the company has grown to a fleet of over 150 pieces of equipment that execute jobs ranging from single dwelling septic tank installs to multi million dollar commercial projects.
The Koch family continues to run the company to this day. Brothers Emerson and Peter (Jr) and Emerson's son Cole lead the company. Emerson is lead estimator and senior manager. Peter and Cole are area managers overseeing multiple projects. Emerson's wife Karen manages the office and accounting, and Nadine, the daughter of Emerson and Karen is the company's senior safety coordinator.

We are a full range General Contractor with capabilities in earthmoving, water and / or sewer transmission lines, water and sewer distribution, pump stations, lake intakes and servicing for land developers, Villages, Towns, Cities, municipalities, government agencies and private individuals. We have experience and are willing to work on private individual projects to multi-million dollar projects.
We are proud of the fleet of equipment we have built. We are constantly monitoring our fleet and assessing the equipment's function and productivity. We watch the trends in the industry and attempt to acquire new technology as it enters the market. Double K Excavating and its managers have great working relationships with dealers in Saskatchewan.

The subject of safety is of great importance to our company. We are dedicated to providing and maintaining safe, healthy working conditions for our employees, subcontractors, clients and visitors while protecting the environment and physical assets on and off the work site. We employ two full time safety personnel.
