H1N1 influenza is a contagious respiratory disease that causes symptoms similar to those of the seasonal influenza in people. The name "swine flu" was initially used to describe this type of influenza because laboratory tests showed that this strain of flu virus was made up of genes that were very similar to the ones that caused influenza among pigs (swine).
Every time your heart beats it is pushing blood through your arteries and the rest of your body. The force that is created by the blood pressing against the arterial walls is called blood pressure. There are two types of pressures. Systolic Pressure occurs when the heart contracts or beats to move blood through your body.
Bio-identical hormone restoration therapy (BHRT) is the process of restoring hormones that are normally produced by your body. This therapy uses synthetically derived hormones made from yams, soy or another plant sources and is also known as natural hormone replacement therapy. Unfortunately, there often seems to be much confusion surrounding the use of the terms 'natural' and 'bio-identical hormones', and I hope to address such confusion here!
