Over the years the company began to grow, ownership changed hands to Rafael, and now we operate with 6 trucks in our fleet. Joe The Mover just moved me out of a 2 bedroom apartment near Dundas and Ossington and into a 2 bedroom house in the Junction over the Canada Day weekend 2019. I was hesitant to book them because of their bad reviews on Yelp but when they quoted me almost half the price of Two Men and a Truck and Ninja Movers and were actually available on the day I wanted, I took the plunge. On the phone they were no nonsense, I didn't need to give them a list of my possessions and was told there are no hidden fees. The deposit for the reservation which included gas and travel time from their van warehouse

Terrible company. Expensive item went missing and did not get delivered to our new place ......until after many calls they miraculously found it in the warehouse! Initially accused of lying about the item. Also had a couple of smaller items not show up. And the weirdest of all was the delivery of a foam mattress to our place which we had never seen before.

DO NOT HIRE THEM. I've moved once every two years for the past ten years and never had such an issue with a moving company.
We used Joe the Mover to move from an apartment in Oakville on the 15th floor to an apartment in Toronto on the ground floor. At first, they showed up and cleared our apartment quietly and patiently and just worked. But then, they took over an hour to show up to the Toronto apartment and we had enough time to leave, get lost, arrive, talk to management about the parking garage, and then we still waited about 20 minutes for them to get there. Terrible experience. Two movers showed up to move a one-bedroom third floor apartment (which I had told them in advance) into a ground floor one-bedroom apartment quite close by. The movers showed up smelling terribly - some combination of old booze and cigarettes. One was already limping and probably should not have come to a third floor walk up job. They didn't use any equipment, including gloves, which meant that they literally bled on the furniture, my walls, and the stair rail and didn't clean it up. Run, don't walk, away from this company! Over the years they have done several moves for me and were great. But the person (an older man) who ran the company, is no longer there and the current contact is a disgrace, and so are the movers. Right at the beginning I told them the most important thing was my marble top table and to be really careful with it. FIVE MINUTES LATER they came in and told me they had dropped it and broken it in half. And it wasn't until they left that I found out they had broken one of the doors on my microwave oven cart. These guys are, hands down, the most amazing movers I've had the pleasure of meeting. They show up almost 10 minutes early, call to check in before the scheduled start time, show you a written estimate and breakdown ahead of time, and then power through the work at lightning speed.
I moved the contents of a 7x10 storage unit at Dundas and Dupont to my place at Spadina and College, and the whole thing took two hours from the time they showed up to the time the last box was in my room. This was also at 7:30 in the morning, so we were starting to hit rush hour traffic on Dupont at that time

We used Joe the Movers to move out of our 1+den apartment and had a great experience. They provided two guys (Mike and Naz) who were extremely punctual, friendly and hard working. They moved us out and into our house in 2.5 hours, which we thought was fast!! We were charged $65 per hour which was one of the cheapest rates we found, plus an extra hour for travel time. They didn't take any breaks.

After getting screwed over by two different moving companies, we had the best experience with Joe the Mover. Fast, efficient, professional, and cheap! We used them twice last year - once to move our stuff out of the house for a renovation, and once to move stuff back in. They did a great job. Everyone recos El Cheapo but we had a disastrous, $1200 move with them and will never go back. Joe the Mover is far superior!

These guys were amazing. They worked very hard, efficiently and were really kind and courteous. Roger, Peter and George moved us into a 3rd story walk up and took just shy of 3 hours. We had the three guys for a mid month move, which was reasonable. We saved on the costs from the company and passed our savings on to the movers because they deserved it. This company is very easy to work with, and I've heard horror stories but these guys and Joe the Movers are really changing the face of the moving business. We really appreciated their good service. Paid $260 + tip for a 3hour + travel
