I have over 20 years' experience working with people who are seeking help for a broad range of situations, problems and issues including, but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Anger, Addictions, Emotional Issues, Relationship or Family Issues, Parenting Issues and difficulties finding a direction, purpose or meaning in life.
My primary motivation in my work with clients comes from my personal as well as professional experience of how helpful - even life-changing - effective counseling and psychotherapy can be. My interest is in helping you to identify your needs and goals, and to finding the most effective way to help you realize tangible results.

Although sessions are normally in person, at my office, I offer other forms of "getting together" such as phone sessions or "Skype" sessions, if this seems appropriate, necessary or useful. I have also conducted sessions via e-mail, in special circumstances. The frequency of sessions is flexible.
It depends on a number of factors, including the problem for which you are seeking help, the urgency of your need, and my expectation of what will be most effective for you. There are also the logistical "realities" such as your schedule and your ability to pay. We decide on a frequency when we first meet, and this can be renegotiated at any time.

Do you think of yourself as on a "journey" of sorts? Perhaps on a path of self-transformation, or simply of letting go of old patterns of thinking, of feeling, of behaviour, and of beliefs - or of how you experience life in general? Perhaps your goal goes beyond functioning better or just being happier, to being able to really be yourself and fulfill a sense of "life purpose"?
Mindfulness has been shown to be very effective and useful in reducing stress, anxiety, worry and anger - amongst other things - and to be useful in treating depression. It is often talked about as a "technique" although it is much more than that. While it can be useful as a technique to manage feelings and reactions in the moment, properly learned and practiced, it becomes a long-term skill that can transform patterns of reactions e.g.
