I would first off like to say I went to this salon feeling like my hair was never going to look good ever... I had been to a few previous hair salons and just was losing hope on my hair.
I had a consultation with Kat (one of the owners and IBE specialist) to potentially install Invisible Bead Hair Extensions (IBE). Kat was not pushy like some stylists to just make money. She gave me options on what we could do with my hair that would best fit my lifestyle. After doing my own research and in speaking to Kat and viewing her Instagram showcasing her work I decided IBE extensions would be the option

I’ve been seeing Tony for my hair needs for 5 years now. He does a phenomenal job blending my hair cut so that it suits my natural hair texture. The colours he does for my balayage and highlights are always very flattering on my complexion and I’m always leaving absolutely obsessed with my new hair.
The boutique is always clean and lively. The other assistant stylists are always so kind, and helpful. Curious Boutique on 85th Ave. is phenomenal!!

I don't live close to the salon but I truly enjoy making the trip to see Kat and Tony at Curious. They have done an amazing job with the space. It's bright, clean and has the best vibe. Amazing as always!! Always friendly, always following high COVID protocol, always organized. Always using high quality products. And of course, the best blonde stylist I know! I am always greeted at the front desk by name and with a smile and most importantly even though I’ve been seeing Kat for years, she has never assumed I want the ‘same thing’ and is always open to my questions and ‘should we?’ The team is professional and friendly, always sharing the latest with each other and with the clients. I always leave feeling amazing!

I travel from Toronto to Calgary every 8 weeks as I only trust Katerina with colouring and styling my hair. She goes above and beyond to ensure that I leave
looking and feeling amazing . The salon is extremely clean and have great Covid safety measures in place. You are always welcomed by such a friendly team, which makes the experience so pleasant. They are so knowledgeable in the products they sell which has transformed my hair from damaged and short to healthy and strong. Keep doing what you are doing guys, your service is unbeatable. Kat has been doing my hair for almost a decade now and she is beyond amazing. She made me blond which I never thought possible before and she also installed my first set of extensions back in 2019 and I could not be happier. It's an incredible method I had never heard of called IBE and it looks so natural I'm obsessed.
The new salon is a beautiful space and I love the boutique feel. It makes the experience very personal. It's also extremely clean and makes me feel very safe during these uncertain times.

Great! It was my first time there. I have thick medium length curly hair and have been looking for a hair salon. They first washed my hair, massaged my head and put my hair in a towel. They then combed it out with a wide tooth comb (which are great for curly hair), and Rachel, the one who was cutting my hair, found many curly hair products which I thought was a nice touch. She gave me suggestions and never pushed, and I really enjoyed it. Amazing service, going above and beyond and I will definitely be coming back! I recommend it to anyone who wants a haircut.

I was told that, even though I want a clippered cut that I've previously gotten at a barber shop, the fact that I'm a woman still makes it a woman's cut. I would get charged almost $70 for a clippered cut on hair shorter than a man's armpit hair, versus a man getting charged a fraction of that for the same cut. This is sexist, as well as unwelcoming to non-binary people.

Spontaneously called Curious Aspen Landing today needing a hair cut asap. I didn't know much about the salon but wanted to give it a try as I live nearby. I was easily scheduled in for two hours later with Alana.
I showed up, nervous to trust a stranger with my long locks but Alana is AMAZING. She was confident, quick and knew exactly what needed to be done. I was in and out in less than an hour, with a majorly refreshed look!
The salon was neat with funky interior, all of the hairdressers seemed peaceful and enjoying their work which made the salon a pleasure visiting.

I have been searching for a good salon since moving to Calgary from Ireland six months ago. I live near Aspen so, following a Google search, I came on this page and the above recommendation for Shauni. I decided to give it a try and am so happy that I did!
The salon is bright and airy and all the natural light is great. I was thrilled with Shauni - she is friendly and chatty and great to give advice on what she feels will suit you, but she doesn't push her opinion on you like many stylists.
