When we were looking for photographers, what we saw was either really candid photo-journalism, or very posed and elegant. I asked myself: why can't we have both?! This is when Luminous was born. Most couples are worried their photos will look posed or inauthentic. At Luminous Weddings, if a photo doesn't feel REAL, it's not truly beautiful.
For the entire week leading up to the wedding, the bride and groom are traditionally considered and treated as a king and queen. Similar to how royalty has guards with them at all times, it's said that the bride and groom should always be with a friend or family member with a designated shomeret for a woman, and a shomer for a man.
They were an absolute dream team at our wedding. They are relaxed, professional and approachable. They captured every detail of our wedding and had smiles on their faces throughout a very long (14 hour!) day. Ryan was so patient throughout our planning process - he answered every e-mail fast and scouted locations for perfect shots in advance of our wedding.
It's not often that as a wedding photographer you get to see what you do through new eyes. Sam is actually my cousin, I used to babysit her and make sure she brushed her teeth before bed. To see her getting married is a total trip, but more so than that to be part of. We were so excited to have Chantelle and Leon's wedding featuring in WedLuxe Magazine!
This dynamic duo is - quoting their first dance song - simply the best! I was so looking forward to photographing these two for many reasons, and one of them was to definitely enjoy. What can I say about this gorgeous couple? I met Sara and Jon last year ago when we shot their engagement session in Yorkville during the fall season.

Bruna is an absolutely incredible photographer! My fiancé and I are working with her for our wedding and we just recently completed our engagement shoot. Bruna made us feel so comfortable and provided just the right amount of direction to make sure we looked great in the photos. I would definitely recommend working with Bruna to anyone who is looking for a photographer!

Ryan and Roy were an absolute dream team at our wedding. They are relaxed, professional and approachable. Ryan and the team were amazing, from our initial sit-down meeting to the all the way to receiving the final albums. We were recommended Luminous Weddings by a friend, and we could not have been happier. Working with them was an absolute pleasure. On our wedding day it was raining but you would never know from the pictures!

We booked Ryan for our wedding and our engagement shoot. We had our engagement shoot done a few weeks back and Ryan was fantastic. We are two very socially awkward human. Despite the awkwardness he made us look great, and managed to snap some seriously amazing shots. He even went as far as to make barking noises to get our dogs' attention so that they would be facing the camera for the pictures. On top on that we were told we'd receive our pictures in about 4 weeks... they came in 1.5 weeks. Couldn't be happier with our experience and truly pleased with our decision to go with Lumious Weddings

Luminous Weddings was the first thing I booked after I got engaged because I knew their work was great and I had such a great initial impression when I met with them at the wedding show.
