Dr. Azzola was born and raised in Sudbury. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo where he was also a member of the Waterloo Warrior Varsity Hockey team for 5 years, serving as team captain in his final year. Dr. Azzola retains his passion for sports having coached in the SMHA, Coniston Minor Hockey, as well as serving on the executive of the Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club.
Most recently, he was a founding member of the executive for the Sudbury Gladiators Football Club, and served as President of the Ontario Football Conference Varsity Football League for 2 years. He enjoys golf, kayaking, recreational hockey, as well as regular training in the gym. Professionally, Dr. Azzola enjoys staying current with advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and vision problems.

Services
In addition to optometry's already well established role of being the first line in vision care, our scope of practice has recently expanded where we now prescribe pharmaceutical agents (drugs) for the treatment of eye infection, inflammation, glaucoma and other various conditions. Our office possesses advanced diagnostic technology which aids in diagnostic and therefore timely treatment and/or referral of ocular conditions.
