Graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006, Annika came directly to the Ripley-Huron Veterinary Clinic to start her career and continues to be a cornerstone of the team. Born and raised in the rural Kincardine-Ripley area, Annika has enjoyed being able to come home and work with the large diversity of species and clientele this area has to offer.
In her spare time, she likes reading, walking, riding and volunteering with non-profit charities and organizations. Dr. DeGroot was born and raised on a pig farm near Zurich, Ontario. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006 and has since worked in mixed animal practices for 5 years.

Yearly visits to the vet clinic is important in the prevention and early detection of different diseases and problems your pet can have. Remember, it's easier and much more cost effective to prevent diseases than it is to treat them. A veterinarian can detect issues in your pet at it's early stages allowing them to address the problem quickly and effectively.
Regular vaccinations performed by your veterinarian, protect your pet from potentially serious and even fatal diseases, like Rabies. Prevention is far less costly than the treatment for the disease itself. Vaccines work by stimulating the body's immune system to react quickly if exposed to the disease and destroy it.
If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership. Fish can be very rewarding as pets, and you just may be surprised about how much fish actually interact with their owners. Thanks to advancements in veterinary care, today's cats can live well into their teen years.

I have been going to the Ripley Vet Clinic for years.
All staff are understanding, knowledgeable, kind and will go above and beyond for the animals in their care.
They are also one of the few clinics who still treat large animals (livestock), and they do a fantastic job.
Highly recommend for your small and large animals!

We just had two barn cat neutered their and was quoted $100 each and when I picked up the cats, they charged me $150 each. They verified that I was quoted $100 and decided that I would pay $125 each stated I should have not been quoted the previous price. Not good business to not stand by your word and have employees deliver the bad financial news when the paying customer can clearly hear you, the business owner state that basically you don't care. The walls are apparently very thin.

Ripley vets have been part of our lives with our last 2 dogs. unfortunately our 1st had to be put yo sleep. They made a difficult decision comforting. our 2nd dog was flewn to the UK recently & the poor staff had to deal with lots of calls & emails from myself as we worked through the process. Annika was extremely understanding and patient with me. Thank you so much to all of your support.

They were very professional and treated my cat Zelda with respect and kindness. We took her there to get spayed in the morning and were able to take her home later that day. Zelda bounced back to her normal self as soon as the drugs were off she was playful and snuggly like nothing even happened. They sent us home with pain killers/antoinflammation drugs for her for the next 5 days and instructions on how to administer them. Anyway, they were very polite on the phone and dealt with us a lot ore professionally than some of the other vets we called that were closer to my location. The Ripley Vet

I was very impressed with the level of care and knowledge shown by all when we took my moms little Yorkie in for a dental. We knew he may have to have a few teeth pulled and we were very concerned. But our fears were laid to rest when we came back to pick him up and saw the vet carrying him around while he awoke from his slumber..Definitely a very caring and professional environment. Wonderful vet, wonderful staff! Thank you for taking such amazing care of our little treasure :)
