Our Services, so comfortable it feels like home. Marland Motel is located in the City of Powell River, near quiet residential area. It has big parking lots, Picnic, play area and free barbeque facility. It has beautiful surrounding. It offers laundry service. 4-minute-walk to grocery store, bus stop, beach, restaurant and liquor store, 4-minute-drive to town center, shopping mall, 6-minute-drive to airport and golf.
Our rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We have following types of rooms: Standard room; Cabin with kitchen; Kitchenettes; One bedroom family unit with kitchen. Ground level Kitchenettes have full kitchen with supplies; second floor all the rooms are standard rooms. All rooms have two or three beds, phone with voice mail, wireless internet access, Cable TV, free movie channel, frigde, and coffee maker.

The room smelt really bad, there was spider webs in every corner and dead bugs everywhere. We booked for a family of 4 but their was only towels and facecloths for 3 people. WiFi service is terrible, basically useless and their may have been 6 channels to watch on tv. It was really old, which I normally don't mind but the lack of maintenance in the room and the entire grounds for that matter was horrible. I was told upon check in to make sure I turn off the lights and heat before I leave or I will be charged..... extremely tacky in my opinion. A reminder note of some sort in the room would have

OK, so the place was clean, aside from the stains in the carpet. The bed was acceptably comfortable but the room was in serious need of being updated and the windows could be brought into the modern age as well to block out the highway noise. One of the receptacles was so old and worn that my phone charger would fall right out. Otherwise an OK place for anyone trying to save every dollar possible. If you don't mind the worn looks it's fine. Just don't expect anything fancy for that price.

This little charmer is a bit tired, however, It is a great location, quiet, and great space. You can choose from your very own self contained cabin, self contained hotel room or just a room to sleep!!
The owner Jenny, will go above and beyond for you. The rooms are very clean, and tidy. She is readily available if you need anything.
I stayed here for a long weekend and it was great! There is an area with a Bbq and patio furniture to relax with friends. The price was very affordable also.
Liquor store beside you, local small grocery and great coffee down the street.

It wasn't the most modern place but it was very clean. We weren't the happiest with the first rooms beds but when we requested a different room they were happy to oblige. I think it is a Family owned business and the Mother and Daughter were working hard and were very pleasant. Its not the most "modern" place but they seem to be slowly upgrading the place as more people come.

I would not give any stars if this was an option. We booked in with them for 3 nights through an online booking site. The pictures and write up were good. It looked like a quaint mom and pop motel. Once we arrived it was quite a different story. The photos and write up were both from years ago from a previous owner. The room definitely not worth half the money it was listed for. the beds were horrible, no coffee maker, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the towel rack fell right off the wall, the bugs in the room.
