I have always been leary of carpet. I never know what is in them. The room was very comfortable and the fact that there are dishes and cutlery in the kitchen unit meant I wasn't eating off paper or styrofoam with plastic.

Courtenay is a three-hour (220 km/137 mile) drive north from Victoria or a 75-minute (107 km/66 mile) drive from Nanaimo where the ferry terminals of Departure Bay and Duke Point are located. Drive Highway #19, the new inland, four-lane expressway, or take the scenic Oceanside Route on the old Island Highway #19A.
We also offer weekly rates for customers who intend to stay for longer periods of time. The prices listed below are for low seasons(October-May) For high season prices(June-September) please call us! Our motel also offers a condo-like suite that can house up to five people, , and comes with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, large tv, and a spacious living room.

Stayed one night. we had a suite with two bedrooms and a complete kitchen. very dirty room. millet in shock has never seen such dirty rooms in canada. the kitchen is all smeared with grease. there are streaks on the walls. the windows are not washed at all. sofas will hold together so that it is impossible to sit. I generally keep quiet about the bed. nightmare is the dishes are not washed. wi fi doesn't work. the floors have not been cleaned for a very long time. generally do not recommend this motel.

Wanted to book a week and couple extra nights. Owner wouldn't pro rate as the other hotels would. She doesn't care about the actual people or quality of customer service, only the $ she can get. Very rude and not somewhere I'd risk staying to save money. She sounds like someone who'd make your stay unpleasant by complaining about everything you did yet not care about your actual comfort in your stay. I'll pay the extra to stay somewhere else. Very bad business etiquette.

It's clean and centrally located...minutes to all of your shopping needs. The rooms are clean and affordable...The price is thier best feature. This is not a high end motel....it is a middle of the road motel. The rooms could use a facelift..But I felt safe enough to have my family stay there for a 2 week stay.

THIS PLACE IS BAD! When I say bad I mean... unlivable. Im talking cob webs, open pee bottles hidden behind the couch, food in the couch, sheets werent clean. Floor hadnt been washed, smoke detector ripped off the wall, and the wall hadn't looked they had been washed for 20 years or more. So they Charged 80 $ a night for this place... and then when I came back to complain in the early morning, about the accommodation they refused to issue me a refund. Unless u want to feel dirty and shame and being ripped off all at the same time, don't go here.
