Reminder emails for appointments are generally sent out 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, with the exception of weekends and holidays, at which time reminder emails may be sent earlier in order to allow for our 24 hour cancellation policy. Chiropractic is a primary contact health care profession emphasizing differential diagnosis, patient-centered care and research. It is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the spine and musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system and joints of the extremities (arms and legs) and provide diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
Most insurance plans cover the cost of Registered Massage Therapy (either partially or in its entirety). You do not need a doctor's referral for massage therapy; however, some insurance plans will require a doctor's prescription for massage therapy in order to cover massage treatments. A Registered Massage Therapist can assess and treat a client's symptoms.
Acupuncture has been well studied in both Western (American) and Eastern (Asian) medicine. Studies have shown benefits including pain relief, reduced inflammation, osteoarthritic relief, and improved nerve function. Many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue.
The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment used in pregnancy which reduces nerve system stress and improves pelvis neuro-biomechanical function. Its purpose is to detect and correct sacral subluxation and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Sacral dysfunction can contribute to a difficult labour (dystocia) and thus correcting this and balancing the pelvis may allow for a safer, easier birth.
