We will do our best to accommodate your work/school schedules and we are also available for your dental emergencies. Originally founded in 1974 by Dr. Wayne Wright, Uptown Guelph relocated to the Woodlawn address in 1991. The larger space accommodated room for growth, with multiple operatories and working space for associate dentists. While the practice has changed ownership a few times, Dr. Wright remains an active part of our mission to serve patients.
One of the things you'll notice about our Guelph dental office is how long our staff has been working with us. Not only does this reflect how much we love our jobs, it also shows how much we love our patients. Many of our staff have been here for more than 5, 10, and even 15 years! Nelly has worked at our office for 4 years, and in dentistry for 16.
At Uptown Guelph Dental, our team of associate dentists and general dentists have over six decades of combined experience. As a multi-practitioner dental practice, our team of dentists and associates provide both family dental health and expertise services. Together, we're able to accommodate extended and weekend hours, including emergency care. In fact, our dentists have over 60 years of combined experience! Dr. Medhat is a General Dentist in the Greater Toronto Area with extensive education and experience in periodontal plastic gum surgeries and implant dentistry.
At Uptown Guelph Dental, we serve individuals, families, seniors, and children in and around Guelph and Wellington County. Our dentists have over 60 years of combined experience, with certain practitioners having expertise in fields like periodontics and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Wright is our original founding dentist, and while he still practices with us, the practice was sold to Dr. Medhat in 2011.

Every aspect of this office is exceptional.
From the moment I booked an appointment I was impressed.
I was able to get in to see Dr. Medhat and Park right away and when I arrived I was greeted by staff members who were genuinely kind and helpful. They answered my many questions and went above and beyond to help me with the process.
The office itself was clean and they took many precautions, including air filters to ensure the safety of the patients and staff members.
I was apprehensive about the extent of work needing to be done, but any fear I had was put to rest immediately. They were kind

I have been treated by Dr Wright for 30+ years. Wayne has gone above and beyond when it comes to caring and complete dental care. He is on top of his game and is continually learning and ensuring his treatment is current and modern. He is a perfectionist who will not undergo a treatment without being ready and prepared. His associates work well with his expectancy of the best team work that gets everyone the treatment they require.

I just want to say that I’ve been struggling with my teeth my whole life and this is the first dentist when getting a needle for a filling I DID NOT feel , her Technique was amazing. I always have the best experience at this dental office! I have been going here my whole life and I always leave satisfied with my experience at this office. I have had Jenessa and Accrasia as my hygienists and they are both amazing. They both are so professional, knowledgable, friendly and energetic. They talk to me throughout my cleaning and explaining what will be done during my appointment. I love how informative they are regarding maintaining good oral health and for the procedures being done for my appointment. The hygienists really both make my visit so fun by the way they talk throughout

Excellent Service. Professional Doctors, nurses and staff. Uptown Guelph Dental has impressed us in dealing with kids. I have taken my daughter (6 yrs old) to many dentists in Guelph, ON but they weren't able to handle her teeth. Its an excellent option if parents are worried about sleep dentistry. Overall, Awesome experience and highly recommended.
