Welcome to ToothZone Kids, a husband and wife team that specialize in the care of infants, children, adolescents, and those with special needs. Dr. Mathew and Dr. Natalie realized they have a passion and love for working with children which led them to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mathew and Dr. Natalie are excited about their opportunity to make a difference and impact in the lives of so many patients and families!
The Canadian Dental Association recommends having your child seen by a dentist by their first tooth or by the age of one. Prevention is the goal of having your child see us early. At the age of one, their first appointment will consist of discussing diet and nutrition, dental habits and an exam.
As most children are not ready to sit in the dental chair at this age it will be done using the knee-knee method, where the child lays on both you and the doctors lap.Children should be seen every 6 months, the same as adults. Since their teeth and jaws are rapidly forming, this allows us to catch problems before they form or while they are small enough to be corrected easily.

I can’t say enough great things about ToothZone. My son is 4 but has major sensory issues. He hurt his mouth around November and we talked constantly about going to the “doctor” after Christmas. January came and it was time for our appointment. Colbie the hygienist met us and promptly showed my son how all the tools on his hand, counted his teeth (he is obsessed with counting) and asked him his favourite show to watch. She was kind, calm and patient with my little wiggler in the chair. Colbie, thank you SO much for making our first visit so fantastic and memorable! Cannot stress how amazing

My daughter had a great visit last time. She's very nervous at the dentists and they made her feel completely comfortable. The playroom is great, the rooms are charming with the themes. All the staff spoke directly to my daughter and didn't just skip over her and go directly to mom and they involved her throughout her entire appointment. Now my daughter
is looking forward to returning for her next appointment.

This place is amazing we brought our son here after 3 failed attempts with our regular dentist. He would not open his mouth for anybody! Our kids have been seeing Dr. Mathew for 3 years now and get so excited when it’s dentist time. ALL of the staff at tooth zone are amazing, friendly and interactive with all the children. The hygienists and Dr. Mathew are very informative and helpful when it comes to tips for child oral hygiene. I dread the day our kids are too old to continue coming here!

Highly recommend Tooth Zone for all your kids dental needs!
Walking into the office I was super impressed by the set up in the waiting room. Lots of toys including ride on cars and a indoor play structure.
Once we were taken into the exam room they had my son’s favourite movie playing on the screen mounted to the ceiling (this was a question on the patient intake form) and the hygienist was so patient and did a fantastic job at explain to my two year old what she was doing and making him comfortable. The dentist also was wonderful with my son. We are very happy with the care we received and

As a worried mom who was aware her daughter had some existing issues it was a great first time experience. They made my daughter feel very comfortable and at times even entertained my youngest while I was talking with the dentist. They have lots to occupy busy minds and distract from the less pleasant objective. Would definitely recommend as a means to create the dentist as being a positive experience for young ones, which goes hand-in-hand with the parents experience.

My daughter has been going to Tooth Zone Dental center since she chipped her tooth when she was 1. Both Dr. Natalie and Dr Mathew are AMAZING and truly make the kids feel comfortable. The girls at the front desk are so helpful with submitting to our insurer and the hygienists have always made my daughter happy and comfortable. It’s so nice that my daughter gets excited to go to the dentist. Couldn’t be happier with all they have done for us. 😃

My kids LOVE the team at ToothZone. My daughter asks monthly when she can go back and get another checkup. There are lots of activities for the siblings to be entertained while waiting for another to finish their appointment. Quite often they'll do their best to accommodate more than one sibling at a time as well. The staff are friendly and great with all kids, and work hard to meet their individual needs. Dr. Matthew explains all his procedures and empowers parents by giving them options. My kids and I highly recommend ToothZone Kids!

The staff was thorough and great with my 3-year-old son. My son has always liked to be a police officer and after his wonderful experience in Dr. Mathew’s office, now he wants to be a police officer dentist. And I believe it is a great achievement for a kid dentist to have this positive impact on kids. Now he is eager to go to dentist and much more careful about his teeth.
