Our family business started in early 1950, Haddad began with traditional way of baking the Al Barouk village tradition. In 1955, the demand for quality bread was high so we decided to grow the family business to cater and satisfy said. In 1988, we moved to Sweden in Europe and introduced the pita bread to the Europeen communities.
After a short while We opened three major bakeries all around the Sweden: in Stockholm, Goteborg and Eskilstuna. In 1998 we moved to Canada with the idea of expanding our vision in Montreal and the surrounding areas. Achtarout Bakery was founded then we started our traditional ways baking high quality bread and pastries.

The zaatars were one of the worst I have ever tried, we couldn’t even finish the first bite. One bite and you’ll puke, I don’t know what oil they are using, maybe burnt 0-30W from Canadian tire. Recycled oil, it is one of the most disgusting zaatars you can ever have. I do not recommend at all. Worst worst worst. Disgustingly bad

I've been going to this bakery before they opened in Laval and the pita bread was pretty good overall. Recently I went to the Laval branch. I usually open all the pita bread bags and fold the pitas to save space. In every bag I bought I found 1 old pita bread ( not fresh at all and hard ) hidden in the midde of the stack that probably had not been sold the days before. IN EVERY BAG !!! This is disgusting and just pure dishonesty. They're thieves
