Serving the beautiful Barkley Sound area for over 30 years, Bamfield Lodge offers you two ways to enjoy your special getaway. Your own private place to stay, in self catered cottages and charter for your group of 4 - 6 people is available. A boardwalk starts with us and runs along Bamfield Inlet. Sightings of bald eagles, blue herons, kingfishers, cormorants, crows, ravens, gulls, loons and a variety of other birds and ducks are common.
Otters, seals, sea lions, sea stars, and occasionally a whale can also be seen from the boardwalk, as well as residential flower gardens and boat traffic on the waterway "our main street." The beaches have many tidal pools to explore, and interpretation with a trained Biologist can be arranged as well as tours of our local Marine Biological Research Centre, Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre.
