Acupuncture can be a safe adjunct to physiotherapy treatment. It can be used for pain relief for many common conditions. It involves the insertion of a thin acupuncture needle into the skin to increase circulation and cause a release of our bodies own natural pain relievers. Custom orthotics can be useful in treating foot pain and dysfunction in the lower extremity.

My first appt - got in quickly... But the physio was quite rude. He walked up to the receptionist while I stood there as his only appointment. He didn't look at me, didn't say hello, no acknowledgement at all. I thought he might be a trades person in for the day who wasn't there for the clients. I was taken to a room, physio came in, didn't say hello, didn't introduce himself, no welcome for 1st time, only asked cursory questions, gave me a couple of exercises to do while there and he left. Other physios have been with me the entire appt for hands-on treatment. I can do exercises on my own at home
