Was at a wedding on December 4th. Was the worst meal ive ever had at a wedding. The soup was cold the chicken was like rubber the vegetables were cold and hard as a rock the so called tiny piece of beef was cold and disgusting. The best was the desert. The midnigh buffet pizza was raw. Terrible carmen's. Been going down the tube for years.

My husband and I were married here about a month ago and it was absolutely amazing. About 4 weeks prior to our wedding day, our original venue, the C Hotel by Carmen's, informed us that due to restrictions, our guest numbers would not be accommodated. Completely stressed and upset, the C Hotel worked with Carmen's Banquet Hall and found an amazing solution for us. We held our wedding reception at Carmens on July 31st, 2021 and they provided an absolutely beautiful venue. We picked the Venetian Ballroom which had an adjoining patio that allowed our guests to get some fresh air and enjoy some time outside. Both the ballroom and patio were decorated beautifully and the service we received was exceptional. The package that we chose had numerous features including a multi-course meal, open bar, wedding cake, bridal suite, and DJ. It was great value and everyone raved about the food.

Carmen's has the most responsive and caring staff! Andi was fantastic!! He is so quick to help in any way possible. Throughout the ridiculous amount of changes a Covid wedding brings, not once did Andi or the staff get annoyed or frustrated, but went greatly out of their way to ensure the bride and groom were happy.

Not happy with the Christmas dinner. See pics below for what they suggested would feed 4-6 people. I paid $200 for this with stuffing (same size portion) some soup, some buns, and some cheesecake. Thank God… Knights of Columbus was able to make me a complete Christmas turkey, it was amazing and cost me 30% less than this debacle! I went back to ask if the portion size was correct; they did not seem shocked or surprised by the portion size. Gave me an additional two slices and a few scoops more of each side. My husband and I recently got married and our reception was with Carmen's. We first signed with Carmen's because of our experience with Nick (who no longer works here). His energy, confidence and enthusiasm really sold us-that Carmen's would take care of us.
We were ensurd that we would be well taken care of and Karen did just that.
We went with the Bellisima package- A great deal for everything that was included and when you compare prices to other halls and venues. Karen went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met.
I would have rated Carmen's a 5/5 but there were a couple of things

Carmen's was a fantastic venue to host our McMaster Kinesiology Semi. They were very easy to work with and were accommodating to our many requests. The prices were reasonable, the food was exceptional, and the staff was delightful. We received nothing but compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how much everyone enjoyed their evening. We're looking forward to coming back to Carmens for many years to come!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. we were married there this past weekend and they were perfect. the staff was amazing. There were 2 other events going on that night and you didn't even know. the food was great. We had some issues with our center pieces leaking color and they were able to fix it with no hiccups. I definitely reccomend this venue for any event you maybe planning

From the beginning of planning everything with Terry and Heather, to the moment we left the Dolce room, the entire experience from start to finish was wonderful.
We did run into a small hiccup with the DJ, but Heather was able address before the wedding day, so no big deal at all.
We had ample time to see the room set up, and add our own personal touches or make adjustments if we wanted.

I have a love hate relationship with Carmen's. I just had my wedding there on Friday & it was great. The food was delicious, warm, and portions were fair we had many people compliment the food.
The decor was beautiful, and as requested. The staff working our wedding were absolutely amazing, and accommodating. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because, Karen (wedding coordinator) as sweet as she is, she has very little time managment. It would take WEEKS to hear back from her, to confirm things, and even the night before the wedding when they were setting up she did not notice a few major errors

Carmen's is a simple, elegant and beautiful banquet hall with 3 hall options to choose from. It has nice wooden floors (although a bit slippery), high ceilings, nice chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, nice foyer and friendly staff including a receptionist.
We worked with Andy and Nick and they were absolutely amazing to work with from the first phone call - easy to reach out to, answered all of our a million and one questions, were always polite, honest and friendly with their advice, and very accommodating to all our dietary and budget needs. They understood our vision and brought it to life
