Services
R. Avery Zeidman founded Zeidman Law Offices in the early 1990s to serve clients in the Greater Toronto Area by giving them sound legal advice and aggressive representation. Our dedication to clients comes from our compassion to achieve justice for them. Our staff is client and child-focused.
We have an excellent reputation in family law, empowered by our broad courtroom experience in the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, Brampton and Newmarket. But our brilliant reputation for negotiating and our down-to-earth approach with clients is what most of our clients have come to love. We have the knowledge and persuasion to negotiate, the strength and experience to litigate, and the wisdom to recognize when each is needed.

There are currently no full-time opportunities, although unadvertised contract positions and part-time work may be open. Thank you so much for taking my case. When I first came to you, I was in such a deep hole I thought I would never get out. Other lawyers refused to take my case, but you agreed to step in and got me an order for support when others said it wasn't possible.
If you and your spouse are parents, children related issues of custody and access will likely be the most difficult ones to resolve. However, more than 98% of custody issues that go to court are settled by the parents before trial, often with the help of various professionals like the lawyers, counselors, mediators, or a representative of the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
Child Access or visitation rights occur when the children who primarily live with one parent visit the other parent. Even if a parent does not have custody of their children, that parent can have access visits on a regular timetable to ensure their relationship with the child is maintained.
In addition to visits, access includes the right to inquire about and obtain information about your children's health, welfare, and education from third parties like doctors and schools.A parent's right to access is legislated by the Children's Law Reform Act, is not suspended upon separation of the parties (as custody can be), but is subject to the best interests of the children.

Each parent has an obligation to provide child support, and that obligation is apportioned in accordance with the Federal Child Support Guidelines, which were introduced in 1997 in an attempt to simplify child support issues. The objectives of the Guidelines include the establishment of a fair standard of support for children that ensures that they continue to benefit from the financial means of both spouses after separation.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
Mr. Zeidman is very professional. He constantly was thinking of different ways to resolve things that helped me and my husband finish a separation agreement quickly. He focussed on how each issue would affect my kids, and that made discussions easy and effective. I am so happy I found Mr. Zeidman, and I recommend him highly!!

My kids are the most important thing in my life. Mr. Zeidman focused on that and gave me advice and settled a separation agreement that gave me equal time with my kids. He is so good to deal with because he lays everything out, all the choices, both good and bad, and explains the risks of making each choice. He is an open book full of wisdom about family law and how to handle things the best way. And unlike some other lawyers I've had, he returns calls quickly!!

Cannot agree more with other reviewers. Mr. Zeidman was able to explain things fully in a way that was easy to understand. He gave me choices and told me the pluses and minuses of each choice all the way through. Although he recommended things, he reinforced that it was my decision to make on how to proceed each step of the way, and he supported my decisions fully and assertively in negotiating a settlement. He is very fair and I felt he empathized with my situation so much. I wasn't just a "file" but a person he cared about helping as much as possible. Highly recommend him!!

What I loved about Mr. Zeidman’s Office was that they kept me informed about and explained it all. He and his staff contacted me every time there were emails or calls with my wife’s lawyer and they sent me copies of everything. He knows his stuff and how to explain the pluses and minuses of whatever options are available to help decide the best way to move forward. He was much better than the first lawyer I had. I highly recommend him.
