Meet The Dentists Report

Dr. Lobay was born and raised in Smoky Lake Alberta. After graduating high school, he began his post secondary education at the University of Alberta where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and then continued on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. Upon graduating, Dr. Lobay had the opportunity to work in a busy dental office in Stony Plain for seven years.

When more extensive dental care is necessary, financial arrangements can be made with our office. Absolutely phenomenal experience. After calling another clinic prior and being told the wait would be over a week, I contacted Lobay.
They listened thoroughly to my situation, took my information with grace and booked me an appointment for only 72 hours as it sounded like a priority to them.
The overall experience at the clinic was professional, warm, welcoming and humorous.
A comfortable and medically sound exam and documentation were performed and discussions moving forward fully involved my awareness and personal opinions. I felt valued.

My kids' amazing pediatric dentist in Edmonton recommended Lobay as a dental clinic for me to go to, closer to where I live in Parkland County than my previous dentist in Edmonton. As someone who has a good amount of anxiety over dental visits, I highly recommend Lobay - staff were exceptionally kind, patient, great at explaining things and taking time to do so, and at listening to my concerns, and probably gave me the most thorough and holistic dental health visit I've ever had. Just want to say I am sooooo glad I got a second opinion. Lobay Dental is not a place I would recommend. Took my daughter there yesterday and they wanted to charge me $2200 to fill some cavities. Thankfully my sister is a dental hygienist, she taught me so much about the codes and prices. She passed along my daughter's X-rays to a dentist she trusts. He agreed completely with her plan for my daughter's oral health. Please beware before you blindly follow what they say. My bill went from $2200 down to $500.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Lobay. Whether it has been caring for my younger children, who are very anxious, or my own dental work, everyone we have seen has been fantastic. The staff are always the wonderful combination of professional and friendly. Explanations of what they are doing or why another treatment or other work needs to be done is explained in clear simple language that is easy to understand and they never talk down to make you feel stupid or simple even when asking for more clarification.
I highly recommend them for anyone. This is the way dentistry should be done.

It was 5 years ago I started working in BC and when I returned Stony Plain I need to have tooth pulled and I was very happy with the dentist office prior too this and their support and professionalism. However, going in this time they completely figure out how to operate in pandemic times. I felt safe, saw all the staff were professional and easy to deal with and helpful. Everything was explained and they followed their explanation from start to finish. A lot of times you go in to fix a problem and usually deal with some sort of pain. Dr Lobay has excellent knowledge in his field. I've never had a bad experience with any of his dental work.
My kids like going to him as well. They aren't scared to have any numbing agents to have work done as he's very gentle and had great chair side manner.

A friend told me about Lobay because that’s where he and his family go. I called and they were great on the phone and got me in to see a dentist quickly. When I went for my appointment I was greeted at the door, she was genuine and friendly. I witnessed this with 2 other patients while I did my paperwork as well.
