Norvon Enterprises
Norvon Enterprises Limited of Port Hastings was formed in 1968 by Robert A. Fox and Richard MacIver who came up with the company name from their wives' names (Noreen and Yvonne). Richard soon decided to concentrate his efforts on other business opportunities. The Gulf Oil Refinery, Heavy Water Plant, Nova Scotia Pulp (now Port Hawkesbury Paper) and Nova Scotia Power were a few of the industries generating business in the early years.

Robert and Derrick Fox give credit to the great employees they've been fortunate enough to have working with them for 47 years. Dana Burns has been with the company for over 35 years, and Bernie Mattie for over 20 years. Robert says that he often receives compliments from satisfied customers who are pleased with the quality job that the men do, as they take pride in taking care of their equipment and doing their work well.
