Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself.
I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent.
Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain

We really liked it here. Very much at altitude so be prepared for that. We stayed here at the end of the season and it was nice as everyone left. That said the weather got colder and it snowed during our stay.

The owners terry and Derek need to learn customer service, there were several people who arrived early, and yes we were told we would have to wait till 2 EXACTLY to check in, this should not be called a holiday but journey. The camp store is not stocked very well, the sites are so tight that it is hard to park your own vechile near you camper. I have no intention of ever returning. The rest of staff is great, also the have the stuff to cook the hunt pizza but not using it, also the food that is in the cam store is candy, little bags of chips, breakfast sandwich one kind and maybe 4 or 5 small items

Excellent place to camp, especial if you aren't a hardcore outdoor person. 😜 Great amenities including clean bathrooms and showers, a store with anything you might have forgotten and comfortable campsites that include cabins with beds. Friendly staff and great customer service!

Nice big spots with BBQ fire pits outdoor furniture. Big dog area. Dirt road entry and don't show up before 2pm check-in, they will send you back out. Nice store with some food, drinks, rv products, fire wood. No restaurants or stores nearby. Cripple Creek has the casinos and Victor the mining history.

We had a wonderful stay. Everyone we met were so nice to us. My daughter and her friend had an awesome time swimming and hanging out by the fire. I wanted to say Thank you to Cripple Creek for the great memories my daughter and her friend will have. I know I will be wanting to return again next year.

What a beautiful place to camp! We did tent camping in the more primitive camp sites. The sites are pretty secluded and offered a nice view. It is up pretty high, so definitely cooler at night, so plan accordingly.
The campground hosts were super helpful and friendly. The grounds and facilities were clean. Hiking up there was so beautiful and at higher altitudes it works your heart! We will definitely go back.

We had to find a new campground after the KOA in Cotopaxi closed. We decided to try this one and we were very pleased we did! (It is hard to change what you know and love!) This was a very quiet campground and for the most part very clean. (Six showers for the entire campground, men and women. Not the best.) The staff was fabulous! So friendly and helpful. We were so impressed, we have already booked for Labor Day weekend!

We have loved staying at this campground! We booked a cabin which consisted of two rooms: one room with a full-size memory foam mattress, and one room with two twin-size bunk sets.
First impression of the campground is how easy it is to find, with beautiful views of the mountains from every direction. There are adorable playgrounds on each side of the main building.
The cabin was immaculate and homey with cute decor throughout the cabin. The benches and shelving fit our dry goods and luggage well. The cabin also included a space heater for each room which was perfect for the cool nights and little
