Dr. John Pate is the senior dentist at the Westwood Dental Group and has been in practice for 40 years. He came to Guelph after receiving both an Honours Degree in Chemistry and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Western University. Following his graduation, he spent a wonderful year at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal as a General Practice Resident.

I have never had more negative experiences at one dentist's office in my life. I believe WD replaces fillings unnecessarily. Last year I went to an expensive holistic dentist across town to have multiple mercury fillings removed for myself and my fiancé. The lead dentist there assured a 20-30yr lifespan for these fillings. 8 months later I was told at WD that there was a 'leak' in one of those fillings I'd received and recommended they replace it. They did, and as a result of the filling being a replacement of work done less than 1 year before, my insurance wouldn't cover the cost and on top of

I recently had my first visit here with Susie (my hygienist) and Dr Sidiura. I could not be more pleased with my experience. Susie was patient, pleasant and she even sings when she cleans your teeth! She gave excellent answers to all of my questions and you can tell she has a passion for her profession and patients.
Dr Sidiura was very kind, and answered my questions very throughly. I really appreciated the photos they took of my teeth to show me what was going on in my mouth. They also caught some issues that I was unaware of and very helpful when I asked for tips on how to manage them.

I can definitely recommend (and have recommended people) Dr. Sidiura and Westwood Dental (all of their Doctors and assistants/hygienists).
Their service right from start to end is fantastic. Everyone there is very kind, caring and extremely professional.
They make you feel at ease right from the moment you walk through the doors!
The only thing I am disappointed in, is not going to them sooner!! Keep up the great work! 5 stars for sure! ⭐️

I have been going to Westwood Dental for years. Their staff is always compassionate and professional. Dr. Bull and the other dentists really care about their patients and make sure that you are informed and comfortable with the treatment plan. They put their patients' health over profit and that's why I am so glad I chose them!
