My family and I wound up here by accident and what a pleasant surprise! We were a party of 4 adults and two children and every adult's food was outstanding. Three of us opted for seafood and all agreed it was excellent. The cod was perfectly cooked, and my mixed seafood pasta had every type of seafood cooked perfectly as well, which is incredibly hard to do with fish, prawns, scallops, and mussels all needing cooking at different rates. I had to eat quickly so nothing got too over cooked as it sat on my plate. And to cap it all off they included a small chocolate desert at the end that

One of the worst customer service in a restaurant that I have encountered. We were visiting Vancouver Island from Seattle and we were super excited to celebrate a birthday dinner at Toscano's after checking out the menu. We couldn't dine in as we have two puppies in the car and wanted to carry our meal back to our hotel instead. The front desk lady was rude and mentioned that they couldn't do a carry out as they were focused only on the dining customers. I asked for the manager to confirm this but apparently he was too busy and couldn't come to the phone. I was "promised

I was suprised to see this store still exists as it no longer has stores in UK.
It's as I remembered it. Cheap and cheerful. Aimed more at the older end re fashion styles.

After an evening event we stopped by with a group of 8. The staff were very friendly and they accommodated our large group. The appetizers were all tasty but a bit on the small side. The sauteed prawns, the mussels, and the cheese plate we're all delicious

We ate here sometime ago and it was amazing, great food, great wine and awesome staff.
We heard that the ownership had changed but that, "it was just as good as it was before it changed hands". So we thought we'd give it a try for our date night last evening.
Sadly it isn't anywhere near as good as it was before it changed hands.
I had seafood fettuccini and my wife had chicken alfredo. The food was bland and lackluster. The seafood seemed past its best and a little too" fishy". She had a glass of Spineli's red wine at the waiter's recommendation and it

ATTENTION: The hours of operation on here are not correct. We stopped by and they were not open. The door on the restaurant said everyday from 4:30-9:00pm. We will have to stop by another time! hope this helps others!

First thing to note is that the online menu is different than the menu in the restaurant- sounds like they had an issue with a previous owner with the website. Our pastas were tasty, but did seem a bit pricey for the portion. I personally would suggest more pastas or mains priced $15-18 and maybe having the option of 2 sizes of pasta (ie. regular and large). Not everyone is a senior from comox who eats small portions- my husband has an active job and he eats a lot. Or there are people like me who like taking home part of their meal for lunch the next day. I think I would come back for their Monday

Great experience at Toscanos! I had the seafood fettuccini with massive prawns, scallops, clams, fish, etc. Mom had puchanesca (so) with pork, olives, tomatoes. We both stuffed ourselves full. No room for dessert! Except.... they gave us a small free locally made chocolate mousse. Yum!

Sliced bread with fresh tomatoe sauce
Appy: -Fish cakes where very favourable with the pickled relish
Entree: Chicken Alfredo
Dessert: creme brûlée- decadent!! so creamy

The potions where perfect as I was able to save half of my Chicken Alferdo for lunch the next day!!

2 thumbs up or 5 stars for sure !!

We went tonight for Monday $10,99 pasta. The place was full so we asked to order to go and the girl said yes, so we ordered and left for a bit until they cooked our dinner, but what she didn't said is that I would end up paying $20 a plate just because it was to go. So we end up paying $42 for two fettuccini.

Yes the pasta was amazing, but not worth $20 a plate!

We ate here midweek. It was pretty busy. We ordered starters and dinner. Had 1/2 l wine which on special, 50% off night. I had grilled fennel salad ordered as I want to try new things. The dish was beautiful to look at with lovely dressings but the fennel had the texture of canned not fresh fennel with grill marks. A touch disappointing. Hubby had tuna starter - again beautiful presentation that carried through with deliciousness. For mains hubby had sausage and prawn pasta - excellent. The sausage the best we've had out and second only to our own home made. I had pork two ways

Yeah this used to be my goto Italian restaurant in the valley when I lived here 4 years ago.. I can't say the same now.. I think the original owners sold the place and new people took over because it's definitely not the same. Ordered a Brie appetizer which was cold and bland.. Basically just a wedge of cheese with some candied walnuts (which were great) and some cranberry jam.. For the entree I had spaghetti puttanesca which could have had an excellent execution if there was more than a teaspoon of meat in the bowl.. The meat was a well seasoned lamb that had a raguish taste to it..

Phenomenal evening out - our first ever, as we moved to Comox yesterday! We stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident. It was a happy coincidence that we were also celebrating our 8th anniversary! Bob the waiter is a treat in himself. I had the duck and my husband had the lamb. Both were exquisite. It was a decently packed place for a Wednesday evening. We'll definitely be going back!

We had an incredible meal last night with a group of six. The prawn, scallops, and bruschetta we had for appetizers were all amazing. I had the lamb off the fresh sheet it was incredible. My wife had the prawn carbonara spaghetti and we raved over our meals as did our other guests. The only disappointment is that I was too full to try dessert.
Hats off to the new chef great food great presentation and great service.

The boyfriend and I went here for supper one night during our stay in the Courtenay/Comox area. It was delicious and wonderful! I would go back in a heartbeat. The staff were friendly, and not too overbearing. It had a great atmosphere.

It is a little pricey, but totally worth it!
