Best place to not only learn martial arts, but even the history as to why certain styles are the way the are now. Steve is very knowledgeable in various different martial arts. His approach and style of teaching is different compared to other gyms I’ve been to. I’ve visited a bunch of gyms to try and test out which would fit me best, one class here and I didn’t even want the week trial, I signed up ASAP. He’s patient and gives everyone the attention needed to improve. For beginner to advance, there’s a lot to learn especially from Steve. I’ve been going 3 times a week and will continue

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value
The facility is clean, very well-equipped, and comfortable to train in. Steve, the owner and instructor, is very knowledgeable in the martial arts being taught in the gym. He is very easy to communicate with, and tailors the training specifically to the individual's level. Highly recommend this facility!

Very good place to start learning martial arts or combat sports. Steve, the owner and coach is highly knowledgable in a wide range of martial arts and is a very patient and technical teacher who will help you grow in many aspects of your abilities. Have been going here for quite a while now and I definitely recommend this school if you are interested in training in boxing, kickboxing, no gi grappling, and jeet kune do.

If you are interested in learning how to fight for self-defense in the street or for competition in the ring I highly recommend Combative Concepts. Having studied various martial arts for 20 years I can say that this gym is by far my favourite. Classes are divided into their respective arts such as Jeet Kune Do (a must!), boxing, kickboxing, MMA, grappling, weapons, sparring etc, which allows you to focus on specific areas if you feel like you need more improvement, or if they are simply your favourite to train in. Steve’s approach to fighting is to focus on practical, pressure tested techniques

My friends & I were looking for an after-work work-out class. After checking out a few places we knew we wanted to attend Steve's classes. Classes are amazing! Steve is a great teacher and ensures each student gets individual attention. We attend both the women's classes and the mixed-classes..... and they are all excellent. Totally enjoyable, by far the best classes I have ever attended. I would highly recommend Combative Concepts to everyone !!!

Coming to Combative Concepts gym was one of the best decisions I made, when I decided to make commitment to be able to compete in MMA, this is one of the gyms, I found where training is actually meant to help you achieve your goals, unlike many other places, where your membership fees is all that matters. The instructor Steve has so much knowledge on every discipline of martial arts, and his passion for this truly shows when he teaches all his classes. Being a part of the gym for almost two years, I cant be thankful enough for all the skills I have learned and continue to do so, the best thing

I've been a combat sport fan my entire life and Steve who's the head coach here, fuelled my passion and gave me a proper direction and proper coaching. Steve is more than just a coach, he's my mentor and most importantly he's a friendly figure.
I have been training at Combative Concepts Academy for a while now and the classes are just incredible. Steve always uses his experiences and knowledge to help students understand proper ways to master certain techniques and he is always willing to give his 100% no matter what the experience level of the student is. The best part is that you're not limited

This is a great place to learn different types or martial arts. I've learned a lot from Steve and he is simply the best instructor I've ever had! I've had different instructors in the past (they were good) but Steve has taught me a lot in a short span of time. Taught me how to think outside of the box meaning what to do in situations outside of competition. He makes you think of different ways to adapt into the environment your in and simply adjust to it. I recommend Combative Concepts Academy for beginners and even people who want to train/ compete. Give him a call and try it out. There's no harm
