Good food but waited way to long, very disorganized system people lined up outside like cattle. 2hr wait when suggested get food before 4pm,recieved after 6,while waiting outside we learned they called the house while we freezing outside, then called again at 730 to ask if we were picking up our order. Suggestion have people wait in vehicle and call cell when food is ready, works at other businesses.

Although more than 2 hours after the order was to be ready, I give them 5 stars. With the mountain, literally, of food to be made the staff did their best. The food was fresh, hot and tasty when I did return home. Being New Year' s Eve it was expected to be beyond busy. Many customers were unimpressed and some were rude but all in all, given the circumstances I will return. The only suggestion to the ownership is to try to expedite things a bit differently and not overwhelm the kitchen by taking too many same time orders. Preorders should be second only to the deliveries and then walk-ins. Beyond

The food was very tasty but at a time when everyone is cleaning extra and beyond to avoid covid-19...this restaurant looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year. Windows and floors filthy. Bench seating inside covered in red duck tape, floors need repairs. When things do open up to eat-in, I would not be eating here.

Ordered $60 worth of food for delivery. The delivery took almost an hour to arrive. The sweet & sour spare ribs were raw when we bit into it, the meat was discolored and it had a gross smell. The shrimp pad thai and shrimp shanghai noodles smelt like raw fish when we opened the container; when we looked at the shrimp it was also not cooked.
The only thing we tried to eat was the plain fried rice, which had no flavor and hard chunks of undercooked rice. About 10 minutes after eating the rice we all felt sick.
I called the restaurant to ask for a refund, I told them they could send the driver back

I know Bamboo has had a rough past. Some of the 1-star reviews here are completely justified. I've had some 1-star experiences myself. That being said, I've heard they have switched owners a few times within the last few years. A couple of years ago, I got beef and broccoli and 80% of the broccoli was the giant stalk cut into 1.5"x1.5" squares that were super bitter.
Even now, I wouldn't eat inside the restaurant as it leaves a lot to be desired. I'd treat this as a takeout only joint and that's what they mainly do.

It makes me sad to have to give such a low rating on a restaurant that I've been visiting my whole life.
This place used to be the absolute best.
It's had it's share of new owners and cooks but it seems as over the years the quality has just downgraded more and more. A favourite dish of mine and my mothers was the "Cantonese chow mein" and it's definitely not how it used to be. One time they ran out of the traditional noodles and made it with spaghetti...
I haven't ate there in a while but today I was around the area and decided to give it a shot for old times

Time had not been kind to the Bamboo house. Once in a part of town that was in the centre of the hustle and bustle it's surrounded by empty fields where factories used to be.
The dining room is dated and faded, like the tribune certificate for favourite Asian restaurant from the 80's and 90's.
we got our food to go, we sat at the counter having a Coke and a Pepsi.
They do a steady take out business. Say what you will about the neighbourhood, the service is excellent, and so is the food.
