Services
At Norfolk Family Eye Care, each member of our vision care team is selected by our doctors based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients. Our entire optometry staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient.
For over 30 years, successive Ontario governments have ignored Optometrists. In 1989 the fee paid for an OHIP insured eye exam was $39.15; today, over 32 years later, it is on average $44.65. This has not kept up with inflation and does not come close to covering the cost (including rent, staff, utilities, equipment, taxes and supplies) to provide an eye exam.
Dr. Jane Van Dyk earned her Doctor of Optometry (Dean's Honour List) from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2000. During her clinical training, she did an externship in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked alongside glaucoma, retina, and cataract surgeons in the treatment of eye disease.
Tracy has been a part of the Norfolk Family Eye Care team since the start of the new millennium. She earned her certification as an Optometric Assistant in 2003 and is proud to serve the office and the patients as the Office Manager for both locations. Her dedication and hard work have helped grow the practice to what it is today.
All of our offices participate in the Optometry Giving Sight, collect used eyewear for our local Lions Club, as well as participate in other local charitable services. We are involved in the annual World Diabetes Day Educational Event and participate in the Eye See Eye Learn program which helps children begin their education knowing they won't be limited by their vision.
