When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. It can take several weeks or, at times, much longer to be seen in our practice. If you are distressed and feel you need to be seen sooner, you may want to consider going to another treatment provider.

You can also call the 24-hour crisis line of the Distress Centre of Niagara. If you are in danger, call 9-1-1 immediately. If you need urgent medical or psychiatric attention, go to the nearest hospital.

As a graduate student, I was awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship as well as a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Scholarship.
During the ongoing pandemic, therapy continues to be offered through a secure video platform or by telephone. In-office treatment has been temporarily suspended. Many of our clients have some form of coverage to see a psychologist although the level of coverage varies widely. Check your benefit's package to determine your level of coverage. Even with coverage, seeing a psychologist is an expensive proposition. Each psychologist determines their own rate and these rates will vary as a function of the experience of the psychologist and their determination of what their time is worth.
