Girls Hockey Calgary Association (GHC) has been a voice in female hockey development in Alberta since 1989. We are Alberta's largest female hockey association, with more than 890 players enrolled in our 2019/20 season. GHC Jr. Inferno community teams compete in every Hockey Calgary age division from U7 (Timbits) to U18.
GHC also houses the largest female AAA/AA franchises in the province, the GHC Calgary Fire, which has two U15 AA teams, two U18 AA teams and one U18 AAA team. Our elite teams play in the Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL).

Services
Girls Hockey Calgary Association (GHC) is a minor hockey association that provides female hockey athletes residing in the City of Calgary an opportunity to play on all-female teams. GHC is home to the Jr. Inferno Community teams and the Calgary Fire AAA/AA teams. As a city-wide association, GHC is able to accept registration of any female athlete living within the boundaries of Calgary (Zone 9).
Any player who resides within the boundaries of Hockey Calgary (Zone 9 - City of Calgary) are entitled to register with GHC. Unfortunately, we are unable to make exceptions for players who live outside of Hockey Calgary's boundary. There are no established Draw Zones or Recruitment Areas for "AAA" Female U18 teams.
All communication must follow GHC's Communication Policy (GHC Policy Manual, Section 5.3). If a GHC member wishes to report an incident to the GHC Board, it must be done so in a formal manner in accordance with GHC's Conflict Resolution Policy (GHC Policy Manual, Section 24). At no time should a GHC parent or player contact a member of Hockey Calgary, Hockey Alberta or the Central Zone Referee Committee for a resolution to a team issue.
All issues concerning the operation of a team shall be communicated using the following process. The purpose of this process is to establish a standard approach to communication so GHC members can resolve difficulties or misunderstandings in a timely and transparent manner. At no time should a GHC parent or player contact a member of Hockey Calgary, Hockey Alberta or the Central Zone Referee Committee for a resolution to a team issue.
All evaluation volunteer hours are eligible for credit towards your Volunteer Commitment. Please view our Evaluation Volunteer Orientation slides to help you prepare for role in our Community Evaluation process. GHC community evaluations are not tryouts, but an evaluation of a player's overall hockey proficiency.
