Hockey Calgary is a volunteer driven organization that has been dedicated to helping young hockey players since 1949. Hockey Calgary is a branch of Hockey Alberta and is the governing body for all minor hockey in Calgary from Timbits to Junior (ages 5 to 21). Hockey Calgary is the largest minor hockey association in Alberta and one of the largest and fastest growing in North America.
Hockey Calgary has 20 member associations with over 14,300 players, 3,700 coaches, 1,200 officials and countless volunteers. Hockey Calgary has been implementing different ways to grow our membership and ensure a positive and effective experience for everyone. Hockey Calgary welcomes the contributions of sponsors to assist in helping us meet our vision of being the "Best Minor Hockey Community in Canada." In order to meet our financial commitments we offer the opportunity for businesses to contribute to the development of Hockey Calgary through sponsorship and associated advertising.
Volunteers are an integral part of minor hockey in Calgary, they wear many hats and enhance our game in many ways! It might be the person who maintains the outdoor rink or the friendly server at the concession. It also might be that Team Manager or Coach who went above and beyond to ensure the kids had fun, or the Hockey Calgary volunteer who spent countless hours in the rink.
Keeping all Hockey Calgary members safe is our top priority, not only dealing with physical injuries, including concussions, but also mental wellness and ensuring our dressing rooms, stands and events are a safe haven for everyone. Officiating is a significant component of the game of hockey. Without officials, there is no game. It is officials passion and dedication to the game of hockey, that makes the game possible for over 13,500 kids in Calgary. To become certified as an official in Calgary you need to take part in an officials certification clinic.
Every Community District in Calgary is designated to a Hockey Calgary Community Hockey Association. If you do not know which Association you belong to please refer to the Calgary Association List. The List contains the names of each Hockey Calgary Community Association along with the Community Districts that are designated to it and the Association website.

I cannot believe the nerves that the chairmen of hockey calgary had. she has such a short temper and has no respect for anyone. i witnessed her yelling and screaming at a 14 year old player at a hockey calgary game and i was stunned. their was conflict between this player and the opposing coach and they exchanged the bird. instead of the chairmen asking the player to stop is an orderly fashion she proceeded to yell in his face 'get out' and push him back. she wasn't even paying attention to the actual game. she was more focused on this player in the stands than the other coach mouthing off the
