Shall We Dance Studio is a well established dance studio offering dance classes for adults, serving Toronto, North York, Scarborough and Markham. Formed in 2004 by Maria Golovanevski, Shall We Dance Studio is run by Canadian National Champions and continues to provide a family atmosphere in a bright and beautiful space.
Emilia's dance class held a Zoom class this afternoon. It was so nice for her to be able to see her friends and get in her weekly dance lessons. I'm so happy that Mrs. Maria is thinking of her students well being, their physicality and their mental state of mind during these unprecedented times. Keeping them in regular routines, although not in their normal location, is best for them to stay positive and overall keep their spirits up.
We are currently taking applications for our Training Program for Professional Dance Teachers. If you are thinking about a career in the Exciting Dance Business, then we want to hear from you. This custom designed program includes training in Ballroom, Latin and Club Style dances. There are great people to learn from and to be around!

My fiancee and I had a tremendous experience working with Shall we Dance to create our first dance routine. At first, we were nervous coming in with no dance experience. But after our first lesson, we started feeling much more comfortable with each lesson.
Val is a phenominal instructor. In 2 months, he was able to teach us the steps in how to dance rhumba, create an awesome first dance routine with our song choice, and help us polish up our routine each week. Our first dance turned out phenominal, and our guests were really amazed with our routine.

My fiancee and I were so fortunate to meet and work with Yvan our fantastic dance instructor! He is so creative and extremely patient. We initially signed up to learn a routine for our wedding and are now continuing with other dance lessons as we are so impressed with how much Yvan has taught us. My finance and I took classes at the studio for our first wedding dance. Both of us were very nervous and we did not have any previous dance experience. Our instructor, Maria, was amazing and really helped us come up with a routine that fit our personality and was special for our day. Maria worked with our song and filmed us throughout the lessons so we could practice on our own time as well. Her attention to detail really helped us with our technique and in the end we felt comfortable and really happy to perform our dance for the wedding.Highly recommend!

My fiance and I are taking lessons here for our first dance at our wedding. We have no prior dance experience what so ever. We started these lessons as pre-begginers with basically no skill. After about 5 lessons we are now actually able to dance together. Our dance instructor is Maria, she is an amazing teacher. She has made us feel so comfortable and at home with our lessons. The dance studio is nice and open and has a very inviting atmosphere. Not only are we learning to dance, but also how to carry ourselves and feel confident. Shall We Dance Studio has been a wonderful dancing studio for me for the past 12 years. I have been with this studio one month after its opening. Thanks to Maria's great effort and energy for creating such a warm family and positive environment for the adult students and kids. She has been an incredible dance instructor and has recruited amazing instructors. My current dance instructor, Ivan Lebedev, is fantastic. My feeling for his encouragement and patience to help me to perfect a combination of steps is indescribable. I'm looking forward for another happy dancing year!

I took some beginner ballroom dance classes here. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and experienced in ballroom dance. Similar to most ballroom dance studios, you rotate between partners throughout the class. You get only a small amount of time practising dancing with the teacher.
The studio is really big and there is ample space for group lessons in one end of the room, and private lessons in another. That's usually what happened every time I dropped in.
You can participate in group lessons or private lessons. Rates are affordable. Classes are available for both kids and adults

We were incredibly grateful to have Maria as our dance instructor! We showed up clueless looking for help for our First Dance at our wedding. Maria is a visionary; she wanted to know the details of the room, my dress, the number of guests - she choreographed an incredible dance for us - that was fitting with our comfort level and the environment we were in. She was flexible, and for us novice dancers, had a gift in being able to find a way to teach that made sense to us. You would be lucky to have the pleasure to work with her.

Very talented instructors, beautiful, bright and professional dance room. Was a real pleasure coming back there for classes. They choreographed our wedding dance which was a great success and we got many compliments from our guests. The studio is a bit far from where we live but every class was well worth the drive! A special thanks to the owner, Maria Elent, who always welcomed us as family. If you want to learn how to dance, this is the place! Highly recommended!
