Brakes are pretty much the most important safety device on your car. If you've even partially lost your brakes in the past, you'll remember the change of underwear that followed. Inspecting your brakes twice a year for wear and damage can protect you and your passengers while saving you money by catching any damage before it becomes too costly.
Regular inspections encourage vehicle safety by checking key equipment such as brakes and steering, so that critical maintenance issues may be addressed. Displaying a fraudulent or stolen inspection sticker is a violation of the Motor Vehicle Act, Section 250(4).
An individual doing so would be subject to a fine of $292, and depending on the circumstances, police may lay additional charges under the Criminal Code of Canada related to theft or fraud, which would result in more serious penalties. The rejection sticker issued by garages extends the period of inspection to 14 days, but does not exempt the owner of the vehicle from equipment violations, such as faulty lights, during that period.

The Car Steering and Suspension Channel explains the systems that help keep your car driving smoothly and precisely. The suspension of a car is actually part of the chassis, which comprises all of the important systems located beneath the car's body. Suspension systems have been smoothing out bumpy rides for centuries - first in carriages, now in cars.
Maintaining your tires in good condition is a must when it comes to safe driving. If they are not properly inflated or that have unevenly worn treads can affect your car's performance and handling on the road, and, it goes without saying, your safety. The pressure at which you should be maintain can be found in your car owner's manual, and you will find the tires' maximum pressure stamped into the rubber.
If you notice your car is pulling to the left or the right, chances are you need a wheel alignment. A wheel alignment will put your wheels back into it's proper position. If you're wheels aren't aligned, it will cause a waste of fuel, access wear and tear on your tires and could cause an unplanned emergency.

We ran into a problem with the door ajar buzzer after our visit to Hopewell Rocks. So happy to stop by here on the way back. The lady got someone to tend to address our concern immediately. Although the problem solved itself as soon as the mechanic touched our car, we truly appreciate the help they offered us immediately. Now we can continue with our trip!

I cannot express how happy I was that I brought my car here. I originally brought it to another garage where they quoted me for front breaks and rotors. Luckily Darren's Phillips Auto repair told me it was actually the rear brakes and rotors and the front was fine! My wallet was especially happy I came here! Fully recommend! Friendly and professional staff! If I could have given 10 stars I would have!

I had a 2008 Charger, and chased a noise around my front end for the entirety of the ownership. After many mechanics, false diagnoses and overpriced repairs. I brought my car to Darren, and you won't find a more honest mechanic in the area. Instead of replacing entire parts like the others were, he would pinpoint the problem and usually boils down to a bushing or link. I recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy tech.
