Olds Veterinary Centre
Pioneer Veterinary Services and its team of associated clinics offers a comprehensive range of veterinary care in clean, modern facilities. With a long history of practice in central Alberta, our team prides itself on maintaining and developing working relationships of great rapport with new and existing clients.

Each of our four licensed veterinarians practice both small and large animal medicine. They provide their own unique expertise and experience in order to service the diverse needs of our clientele both in clinic and on farm. For those clients with livestock or large companion animals, we do offer farm visits, so you don't have to worry about bringing your larger four legged friends into the clinic.
Services
Hans Reimert was born and raised on a dairy farm west of Bowden. His interest in the dairy industry led him to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After graduation he returned to the central Alberta region to provide veterinary care to both large and small animals with a strong interest in Dairy herd health and other bovine work.
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. Our wellness programs include comprehensive physical exams, vaccinations, internal parasite testing and treatment, tick and flea control and blood tests to diagnose or rule out disease. Our dental equipment includes digital x-ray, an ultrasonic scaler, and a high-speed dental drill and polisher.
PVS offers both power and hand floats depending on preference and the individual horses needs. At Pioneer Vet Services, we offer medical acupuncture for our equine patients. Acupuncture is the application of sterile needles into specific points which can improve function and comfort of certain muscles, organs and nerves.
At Pioneer Vet Services, Dr. Safnuk offers medical acupuncture for our companion animal and equine patients. Never taken a pet to the vet. Great people and good prices. I was worried I'd have to get a second job. Won't use anyone else after going here. 5 stars all the way

Always take good care of my animals. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices for a vet. Phone to let me know how the surgery went and even followed up a couple of days later.
