Why use a driving school When it comes to learning to drive, why should you choose a driving school? There are many benefits to using a driving school. Driving is an occupation for instructors. As a driver, you are responsible not only for your own safety but that of your passengers, other roads users, as well as pedestrians.

New drivers of passenger vehicles learn to drive with six important conditions with a G1 license. A new driver must hold a G1 license for a minimum of 12 months before attempting the G1 road test. This time can be reduced to eight months if you successfully complete a Ministry-approved Beginner Driver Education Course.
Please note: Ministry of Transportation no longer issues paper certificates. WDA graduates must request for a copy of the driver's license history (DLH) from any ServiceOntario office. The DLH provides proof of successful completion and graduation from our beginner driver education (BDE) course and BDE graduates with a DLH maybe eligible for an insurance discount, and for a 4-month time reduction at the G1 level road test.

Ray, my instructor, made sure I felt safe, comfortable, and confident on the road. My driving skills improved significantly over the course of my lessons! Ray is a great teacher and I definitely recommend him! Overall the process was extremely easy and there were always people willing to help out to give me the smoothest drivers ed experience possible.

My experience with the Western Driving School was amazing. My instructor Abdula was great with me. He helped me learn everything there is to know to pass my driving test. He was very respectful and patient and I highly recommend going with Abdula at Western Driving School.

I’m glad that I got to finished my G2 driving test. Without the help of my driving instructor Ray I don’t think I would be able to pass my test. Ray has helped me a lot when it came to driving, he taught me a a lot and now that I have improved I can now be a better and a safer driver. Ray is a very nice person, super chill, and cares a lot about you when it comes to driving. I am very happy he was my driving instructor, so thank you so much ray, I really appreciate it.

My instructor, Ray, was very accommodating to lesson scheduling and was very calm and concise when giving instructions in the vehicle. It was very convenient that he could pick me up and drop me off at my house as well. Overall, Ray is a nice guy and could answer pretty much any question I threw at him!

Western Driving Acadamy has always been the best. I have received my first training with them on 1999 for G2 and then for G. Today, as i have just returned from abroad and i had to do the test again. I have seeked their help and as usual they were the best. Got it from first time. They are so professional, punctual and they pay attention to every details making definetely, a better driver. Great work!

I’ve never taken a course from them, but , it’s not a good sign!
A westerndriving instructor cut me off in the lane I was in (didn’t bother to use his indicators to merge into my lane), cut off oncoming traffic trying to make a left onto Springbank from Wonderland and almost hit a cyclist in the process. License plate Skils4life lol the irony
I’m assuming he was an instructor as there was no other passengers in the car. 🤷♀️
