The Shubenacadie River leads from the world famous Bay of Fundy to the the deep water port of Halifax Harbour. On its winding way through the middle of the province of Nova Scotia, it changes from a turbulent, tidal river, to a more placid, chocolate brown water-way.

Once used with its own canal system for shipping, it remains today as a vital part of the area's economy and ecology, delivering fresh water, silt, and nutrients, and providing many recreational activities.River rafting, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are just some other important tourism activities centering on the river.

I love how most of the lots are tree'd but upon entering the campground from the main buildings it looks like it's run down, a seasonal lot we looked at doesn't have sewer they empty your tank every week so not sure if all lots are like that. People seem friendly though but I hear it's a party spot

Felt like more of a small community then it did a campground. Small kids are very safe at whispering winds seems like everyone is keeping and eye on every child to make sure they are safe. Was fun.

My family LOVES Whispering Winds, not only is their staff and owner top notch, the campers themselves are great neighbours! We’ve tented there many times and enjoyed all that the campground has to offer. Even this year without activities due to COVID, they manage to do fun things, like a virtual colouring/painting content for the kids. Owner and staff go out of their way to make sure campers and seasonal are satisfied. Thank you Whispering Winds! We will definitely be back!

Rented the trailer and the smell from the toilet was unbearable sit outside and all you could smell was raw sewage if i could give a negative review i would the owner offered 100 off my next visit at check out and never came through with it.... not recommended and won't be back unless it is cleaned up. Campers have fully enclosed decks looks bad all around.golf carts running around and a walker has to move for them

This place is a well kept secret. We just spent four days here and it was the most relaxing camping trip we have had in year's. The staff is extremely nice, and very easygoing; their intent is just for you to have a good stay. Did I mention the adult pool, that's right and you get your own pass to come and go when you wish. The water pressure is great, the Wi-Fi is great, the washrooms and showers have lots of hot water and are handicap accessible. Laundry facilities on site and excellent fire pits. A real gem, we will definitely be back.

Like someone else said "Dale was incredibly helpful"... He guided us right to the site, helped us back-in. No nonsense or stupid rules. People aren't going to bed at 9pm for instance. Not fussy for the water quality but not a big deal really. Not like is was poison or anything, just high mineral content. The kids had lots to do with a pool and arcade, playground, zipline, dances etc. Dances for adults as well, very lively. Nobody telling you to shut-up and go to bed when the sun is still shining or checking to see if you left at 11am sharp. I would recommend this campground for anyone 50 and younger
