Let us first introduce ourselves. We are Beatrice and Josef Almeida originally from Switzerland. As of Spring 2019, we are the proud new owners of the Balmoral Motel, located in beautiful Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Our adventure in Canada began in 2017 when we took a family trip with our three children, Sofie, Andre and Robin, traveling throughout this Maritime province.
We had the opportunity to experience the amenities of the North Shore area, encountering local residents, visiting attractions and enjoying the hospitality of the region. We realized we wanted to set down roots in this lovely and welcoming part of the province.

Services
Creamery Square is located on Waugh's River in the heart of Tatamagouche. The Creamery Square features the Farmers' Market, the Margaret Fawcett Norrie Heritage Centre and the Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre. This beautiful Beach is located twenty minutes west of the Vilage, on the beautiful Malagash Peninsula.

What a great spot to stay. It was very affordable and got a last minute booking due to a "spur of the moment" decision to stay in the wonderful town of Tatamagouche, NS. It was clean, neat, well maintained and close enough to town to walk in for a meal. It has a great view at the back of this building. It is a shame the rooms have windows here and not patio doors. Would be great to more easily access that side of the motel property.

I stayed at this motel while I was on vacation it's an awesome little spot great owners and the breakfast well I thought it was going to be Continental basically coffee and muffins. To my surprise there was bacon sausage eggs toast tea and coffee and juice 👍 they were dog friendly and if you take a stroll in behind the motel you will find a Trailway take a right and just a little ways nestled into the woods beside the water it's a beautiful park

This place is excellent 🙂. The rooms are clean and well equipped the owners and staff are awesome and friendly. The view is amazing and we saw a red fox 🦊 for us city slickers that was cool!! The hot breakfast each morning and free coffee all day was fantastic. This motel is pet friendly which is convenient. We highly recommend this place in lovely Tatamagoche NS.

Great value for your money. The rooms are clean with a microwave, mini fridge, TV and A/C. The bed is comfortable and theres reasonable water pressure in the shower. The staff was really nice, especially Pierre at the breakfast service. The breakfast includes eggs and bacon in addition different options of cereal, bread with different jams, apple and orange juice, coffee and espresso (with a fancy breville machine), yogurt, as well as fruits among other things.
Nearby, there are warm beaches. We went to Rushton and blue sea beach which we really enjoyed!

My Mom and I have stayed here alot in the past and always had a pleasant stay. This past weekend we went and had a pleasant surprise with the lovely remodeling the owners have done, even a homemade sweets display!! The complementary breakfast is wonderful, the rooms are clean and owners are friendly, hard working and very accommodating!
