Kelowna Community Music School was founded in 1976 by a grassroots movement of parents who wanted Suzuki violin lessons for their children. Faced with travelling to Vernon for a qualified teacher, they set about to bring one to Kelowna. That teacher was Denis Letourneau, a founding faculty member of the school.
Join Ursula Pidgeon as she teaches you techniques to help with writing and adding lyrics to your songs. A perfect class for those writing singer/songwriter pieces! Open to the community for audience viewing and participation. Kevin Robinson teaches this lecture-style class that will go over both formal and improvised practice techniques as you develop skills that apply to all instruments.
KCMS is proud to distribute bursaries to families and individuals requiring financial assistance for music lessons. Your confidential information is provided ONLY to our Bursary Committee for the purposes of this application. Families with multiple students (3+) will be considered, even if income exceeds the household maximum of $70,000.
