Open year-round, waterfront and ocean view cottages, fully self contained, with breathtaking view of the ocean, the mountains of Vancouver Island and the nightly sunset. Camping spaces for tenters and camper vans. It is fine to arrive for camping without a reservation at this time. For camping please come to the store at Ford's Cove to check in from noon onward and choose your site.

Hornby Island's only campground not located beside a busy road so no traffic sounds! The campground has indoor flush toilets, hot shower, outdoor sinks for washing, and our water is certified by the Health Department and safe to drink.

This place was pretty great! Not a large campground and very quiet at night. It had a beautiful view, a store, and a couple of food stands. $1 for 2 minutes in the shower though. But hornby is on water restrictions so fair enough:)

Very kind friendly staff, pizza is a must have! Affordable and honestly the best I have ever eaten. Open late considering it’s on an island and has a very wide variety/selection considering its size. Coffee every morning if your lazy or without a coffee maker!

Beautifully stocked general store and really fun rock formations to swim from.
A good trail for dog walks is nearby. No water on dock and expect beach to be full of kids from campground.
The transient dock seems to have a bunch of boats just parked for longer term while their people are staying at cabins, which makes for not much space. Wharfinger seems willing to make it work. It is same price to moor on the breakwater as the dock but there is no power offered.

General store is small but mighty for all your basics and more! The nearby food trailer makes fish n'chips and burgers through the high summer season. Burger this summer is delicious👌! New restaurant promises awesome views once its open! Well done Ford's Cove🙂
(Parking can be crazy, but don't let it turn you away, don't come in a big RV though... no turn around 😬)

Came in on a boat for some fish N chips but needed to use a toilet. Only toilet available had a coded lock? Had to find a place in the water to go which wasn't easy with people everywhere. Almost burst my bladder!! The most basic of human needs at a place that serves food wasn't available? I was so flustered I gave my experience a negative 5! How uncivilized even for Hornby! Now when anybody askes me about Ford's cove I'll recommend they bring their own camping toilet. Really hard to believe. :(

A beautiful gem hidden in Hornby island. Awesome prices for camping and lodges with a very good customer service experience. When you want to camp and be away from the bustling city, this should be a part of your list to visit in Vancouver island.

Beautiful views . Horby was amazing . Site was noisy though . We stayed 3 nights and didnt sleep well any nights . Left early for our 4th to get some rest but in fairness we did hike alot all the days . Store staff were friendly. Manager was friendlier on the phone than in person though. That was a little disappointing. The store had fresh baked pastries that were very good and make a good americano . Overall good but not quite what we expected .

Two bedroom cabin with sheets, blankets, and pillows sleeps family of five (kid ages 14, 11, 8) comfortably. We often camp but hauling all that gear somewhere during March break in BC when weather can be terribly unpredictable means a cabin is like staying in a 5-star hotel! Large deck, stand up shower with water hotter than my own house, full service kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, drip coffee maker (10 cup, bring your own filters), toaster, and microwave means more time enjoying the island and less time mucking about trying to feed everyone. We loved the partially covered deck, and the easily

My family and I had an excellent time! The campground is really beautiful and the workers were always kind. A staff member even lent us his tent when we realized the one we borrowed from a friend was missing the poles! What a generous gesture! We loved our stay, and will come back as soon as we can. Great for kids, close to everything and the sunset views from the cove are unbelievable...
