In 1978 Fred Rossiter saw the need for equipment rentals and industrial sales in the Conception Bay North area. At the time there was no such service available to the fishing and construction industries. So Fred decided to leave the mining industry in Labrador and return home to Carbonear and start his dream, Avalon Industrial & Marine Supply.
