Services
During Robert's career as a professional photographer, he has established himself as a skilled artisan. His portrait images have produced numerous "Best of Show" awards at print Competitions around the country. Robert was awarded "Photographer of the Year" by the Professional Photographers of Ontario - Hamilton-Niagara branch in 1996.
Passport photos taken at our studio receive the same care and expertise that we give our portrait clients. Photography is our business, and because of this we use the same professional lighting equipment for your passport picture as we do for our portraits. By doing so we can provide you with a professional and pleasing set of passport photos.
We recognize that framing provides the finishing touch for your fine portraits. Let us help you design the perfect frame or mat and frame combination to help compliment your portraits and the suroundings the portrait will be displayed in. We would also be happy to assist you in framing your precious pieces of artwork you've always wanted to frame.
Fall is a very short season, but such a great time of the year for creating fantastic outdoor portraits. This season allows you to "express what it means to be together" and create portraits that will be a source of pride and enjoyment in your home, office or gifts for family and friends that will warm your hearts.
Every year close to halloween we hold our annual Halloween For Hunger Photo Day, in support of the Stoney Creek food bank. With the help of many great families, we were able to raise 2000LBS. of food for the Stoney Creek food bank. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported last years great event!

The review of this place from Ivan is spot on, this guy is so out of touch and can’t realize how people enjoy or consume photos. He is a photographer who doesn’t offer prints or anything more than a low res version of the digital prints. Not even enough to set as a computer background or anything more than a compressed social media post. Get with the times

I have know Robert professionally, for 22 years, since 1995. This year, I had to have pictures done at the last minute. Robert met me after 5pm on a Saturday late afternoon. He had already worked 6 days, but he said he would do the shoot anyway - because I needed them right away. He was very professional, and the pictures were amazing. I would recommend him highly.

WHAT A RIPOFF! Save your money and go elsewhere! First, the facts – at Robert Wells Studio 89 you DO NOT RECEIVE NEGATIVES - EVER. All pictures taken (even after the $180-$250 studio fee) are the property of Robert Wells. You must develop everything on location and the minimum charge per ONE developed photo is $40 – AND you CANNOT JUST DEVELOP GLOSSY PRINTS, they must all be wooden plaques. And all you get for that is a simple, thin piece of wood without any holes in the back to attach to the wall, which means you still have to purchase framing.
Even after spending $1000 here, he REFUSED TO
