In Balance
We have therapists that work in specific areas. Between us, we provide one on one physiotherapy, vestibular assessment and rehabilitation for concussion, balance & dizziness (vestibular) disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, surgeries, work and vehicle related accidents and neurological disorders.

We are currently the only physiotherapists in Abbotsford utilizing infra-red goggles which allows for more in depth and accurate vestibular assessment. Both of our vestibular therapists are committed to excellence in this area and sit on the Board of Directors for the Balance and Dizziness Society Canada.
Services
We typically specialize in specific services at In Balance. Roland and Farron have additional training and are certified vestibular therapists and mainly see concussion, dizzy and vestibular disorders. Meg has additional training in neurological and pelvic health and sees a population with either neurological or pelvic/incontinence issues.
Farron is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of British Columbia, as well as a member of the BC and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. He is also a Certified Vestibular Therapist. Farron is on the board of Directors for the BC Balance and Dizziness Society and a member of the Vestibular Disorders Association.
Abi is one of our 'home physiotherapy' therapists; providing care for clients post surgery, with general deconditioning or with movement disorders and neurological conditions in Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows. She currently works part-time for Fraser Health providing Physiotherapy services in the community.
Kim is a Practicing Kinesiologist. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree and a Certificate in Health and Fitness from Simon Fraser University in 2015. She is also certified in Soft Tissue Release. Kim has worked in acute care, private clinic, and community based settings.

She has worked with a wide variety of clients including athletes, pediatric and geriatric clients, as well as those with injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents or at work.Kim has experience working with clients dealing with athletic injuries, orthopaedic injuries, soft tissue injuries, concussions, brain injuries, cardiac injuries, stroke, and wheelchair bound patients.
A Concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that typically occurs through a rapid head acceleration/deceleration. Fortunately, concussions generally resolve on their own and often do not require any other care than is provided by your family physician. Research shows that a graduated return to work and activity as well as progressive general exercise is important.

Disappointing.
After reading these great reviews and receiving a recommendation from the vestibular association in the US, I decided to book an appointment with Roland online.
Unfortunately, something went wrong and I ended up seeing a different practitioner who was very little help. He didn't even have me repeat the problematic movements that sent me there in the first place. I left not knowing the cause of the problem.
The appointment was on time.
The "treatment" was clean, tidy and very basic.
The female in reception from Kintec was friendly and helpful, in fact, I'll probably return for

Roland is by far, hands down, just the best! I always joke that if I was a millionaire, I'd have him on payroll full time.
He knows what he's doing, he's absolutely personable, and no matter what, you'll feel at ease with him.

Extremely professional. They spend time analyzing and mentoring you to assure that you understand the issue and what is needed to help you heal.

We tried one of the bigger chains and it was not a great experience. Roly does a great job with my 12 year old son. His examinations are very thorough and he does a great job in communicating what he discovers. My son really likes Roly and the one on one time makes a big difference. The results are noticeable.

I’ve worked alongside Roly for several years in clinical, academic and research settings. I have every confidence in his ability as a physiotherapist and regularly refer my patients to him. He practices within an evidence based frame work and often achieves results where others have failed.
