Services
There are typically three different exams available at Dental Hygiene Healthcare (D.H.H.): new patient, periodontal and recare. With your consent, a head and neck exam which includes an oral cancer screening will be offered at every visit. After filling in your medical history, your blood pressure will be taken.
Your tooth enamel is composed of calcium and phosphate and our fissure sealant liquid is composed of the same materials: calcium and phosphate. Fissure sealants heal breeches in your teeth. The crowns of your teeth are made up of four or five lobes of enamel, which mostly fuse together during tooth development.
Bacterial plaque on your teeth become stained by all the colourful foods that you consume. The extrinsic stain is a buildup of coloured plaque on your teeth and professional teeth whitening treatments primarily remove that surface stain from all of your front teeth. The hydrogen peroxide liquid and gel used for teeth whitening treatments can also pass through your tooth enamel to permanently whiten your underlying dentin.
Our mouths are dynamic and we usually experience hot foods and cold foods daily. Since the nerves inside human teeth are very primative, we only experience pain when something affects the tooth or the tooth protection. There are many conditions that cause sensitive teeth and we are pleased to offer re-mineralizing desensitizing therapy, to improve the comfort of all your teeth, every visit.
