Whole Life insurance is exactly that. The policy covers you for the whole of your life. Where term insurance is like renting an apartment, Whole Life is like buying a house. Because you own it, if you ever decide you don't want it, you can basically sell it back to the insurance company. This is called the Cash Surrender Value.
A universal life policy is kind of like term insurance, whole life, and Segregated Funds all rolled into one product. It is a very flexible type of insurance plan, that allows you to tax shelter investments, add term insurance to cover temporary debt, and have a permanent life insurance component for final expenses.
Term Life insurance is like renting your first apartment. It does the job and is affordable, but it's only temporary. Term life policies are designed to cover temporary debts; mortgage and young dependents as an example. It is typically purchased by young families starting out who want to cover mortgage debt and provide for a spouse and young children.

We have been dealing with Jason for a few years now and are happy with his professionalism and ability.
