We are Dave and Paula Shaw, the new owners of Riverside Resort, formerly Riverside Campground and Store. Paula has a passion for cooking, has owned several different stores, and Dave has been renovating properties for many years. God lead us to this property, and eventually we hope to host marriage retreats. We felt this was the perfect fit!

Really excited to see this spot open back up and provide delicious food & camping to the community. Had the fish & chip with coleslaw and it was high quality. Staff are friendly. Keep up the great work! Super friendly people on a nice quiet little spot in the country with darn good food go check it out!

Great place to stay with a small but cozie rustic bunkie that has a covered front deck and a firepit right beside the river. Perfect for a solo or couples getaway. They also have spots for trailers. The area has very nice scenery as well as the relaxing site by the river located on a quiet road with very little traffc. They catered to our late season needs and they went above and beyond to make sure our needs were looked after. Highly recommend.

We were just passing by to look at a trailer for sale when we noticed this little gem. The bistro served us a wonderful lunch of amazing hamburgers and fries. We took home some portion sized in house made squash soup and enjoyed it immensely . We took a look around the peaceful riverfront property and met the friendly new owners. Have stopped there twice to enjoy more bistro treats.

Absolutely wonderful! Large portions delicious food and friendly service. Beautiful location too. The prices are very reasonable and a good variety so everyone should find something they like. .My family has been raving about the fish and chips so that is what we ordered today. They did not disappoint. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to our next visit!

We went there last week and camped along the river and also ate at the bistro. The campsite was lovely and peaceful with the water gently running by. The river is very shallow, so safe for older children. Only about ankle deep at one end and waist-deep at the other end. The washrooms were nice and clean and the owners were very accommodating. The food was delicious! The best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Burgers were delicious too! Our friends stayed in the bunkie and it was nicely positioned along the river as well. I'd highly recommend camping/bunking and eating here.

Excellent fish n chips. The coleslaw was light and not too vinegary. The cheeseburger was a two-hander, made with a homemade patty nestled between a fluffy brioche style bun. Beautiful setting, among the cedar trees and right next to the river. Definitely a hidden gem, that we're looking forward to visiting again.

I'm posting this review as a neighbour who uses the bistro, the campsites look nice but this review is not about the campground as I've never stayed overnight.
Five stars for the new owners who're completing renovations as a passion project.
Five stars for the community that new owners are organizing. I've lived here for several years and haven't felt much community spirit - not to say it didn't exist - but with ideas like an upcoming community yard sale it seems like the owners are keen to bring everyone locally together.
All while inviting vacationers to stay at the camp.

Been visiting Crawford for many years, and recently heard about the new Bistro at the store. Decided to take my parents there for lunch, since we had heard great things about the fish and chips! It certainly didn’t disappoint, and the service was excellent. We sat at the tables under the cedar trees. The other menu items look great, and we’ll have to try more when we return!

This is a slice of heaven on Earth in the middle of nowhere. My wife was looking for places to camp on the Canada Day weekend and she stumbled on this place in February and booked it. We plan on returning. It's a beautiful place and the owners are excellent people who are are committed into turning this spot into a prime place to be. We're definitely coming again!!!!!

Heard about the great fish and chips from a friend. Tonight decide to check out as I love fish. All I can say is fantastic, 2 big pieces along with coleslaw and homemade tarter sauce. This tasty light batter covered the perfectly cooked fish.
The owners and staff are very friendly and have a pride of ownership. Great experience and will definitely come back.
