Services
Peter Van Egmond & Sons has been a trusted source for the supply and installation of exterior home improvements in Hamilton and the surrounding area since 1969. Our main focus is residential work, offering exterior makeovers that will rejuvenate your spirits as well as your home. We establish and maintain clear communication during every job, addressing concerns and questions as they arise so that there are no surprises later.
At Peter Van Egmond & Sons, we pride ourselves on our professionalism and craftsmanship, offering quality Canadian products as often as possible. Our competitive pricing and dependable workmanship offer a good return on investment, as well as giving an attractive and welcoming appearance to your home.
The front door is the focal point of your home, and the replacement of old, worn, unattractive doors is one of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to add beauty and value to your property. Peter Van Egmond & Sons has a wide selection of visually-appealing and energy-efficient doors that will provide security and cost savings even as they increase the curb appeal of your home.
Windows are designed to bring natural light and a feeling of openness into your home while at the same time creating a barrier that allows you to separate yourself from the outside world and relax in quiet comfort. However, the rising cost of energy today means your current windows may be costing you more to keep them than it would to install energy-efficient replacement windows.
The soffit and fascia are more vulnerable to weather damage than any other part of the house. Squirrels, raccoons and birds can cause damage because they like to nest in the space over the soffits if they can find a point of entry. It can also be repeatedly saturated by water from torn shingles, damaged or rusted flashing, ice dams or poorly flowing eavestrough.

We contracted Van Egmond & Sons to replace the 35 year-old soffit, fascia, eaves and siding on our home in Ancaster. What stands out most about the experience are two things: First, the friendly and efficient nature of the people you deal with leaves you with the feeling that your job is all that matters. Second, the quality of the work is, to say the very least, outstanding; the house looks completely refreshed. John's expertise helped us to make some subtle changes that will correct drainage issues that we have dealt with and the Alu-Rex leaf guard should help to make life much more pleasant

This is an excellent company to work with and we feel very fortunate to have had them do our window replacements. We replaced our 25 year-old wood windows with Gentec. The Egmond company has Shawn, who is the owner’s son, who does their window installations and Shawn is an expert and a perfectionist
The old windows were removed carefully without damaging the original casings, which meant that we did not have to repaint anything more than touch-ups. This represented a significant cost and inconvenience saving. We also had two semi-circular widow sections which were both measured very carefully
