The Base Coat Nails Boutique is located at 15214 Pacific Ave at Five Corners in White Rock, BC. The reason I chose White Rock to locate my very first nail salon is that I love this city. The people here are always friendly and welcoming. I love the sunshine at the pier, the beautiful beach and lots of hidden spots where I can sit back, relax, enjoy the fresh air, and listen to the waves.

Fantastic place for a mani and pedi. I was very impressed and pleased by the hospitality and service. I was provided with exceptional service and was accommodated with the same day appointment. I wear halal nail polish, and the technician used the polish I brought it; itās a difficult polish to use as air bubbles can arise - however the technician was so skilled - my nails came out perfect! She did such a wonderful job. I was so impressed with my nails. My feet and hands came out so soft and beautiful. 10 on 10 recommend.

I was very surprised by my experience here, given the great reviews they have received. I had a gel manicure, which required the previous gel polish to be removed, and it took close to 2 hrs for all of this to be done. They also didn't have many of the colours that were shown to me on the swatches. On top of that, the polishes are poorly organized and mislabelled, which lead to a lot of wasted time. The manicurist also informed me that colours could be mixed if I was looking for a shade that they currently don't have (which is very common), but the owner wouldn't allow her to do it. Instead of

Came for a fill and left with worse nails then when I came in, it is almost comical how bad they look!! Polish applied far from cuticle and all over skin around nails by an amateur technician (owner had to keep coming to help), she filed down the skin around my nails til I bled and made my nails as short as she could which I asked to keep length. Polish bubbled it was so applied so thick. I went and showed the owner and she refused to refund or apologize and asked me to leave because they look āfineā when they clearly looked bad. She got very defensive and aggressive when I was not being rude

Lady who did my pedicure was great!! Attention to detail and very gentle. She gets 5 stars.
However, the young girl who did my acrylics; I was not impressed with. The acrylics were too thick and unnatural. It just looks like big globs of nail polish. It is not very attractive. I kept saying to her that it was thick but she said she if she thinned it, it would break. I would disagree with that. I've had these done thinner and they look much more natural. Quite unhappy with these nails and it was expensive. The little gold details cost me 30$ extra which is a rip off. Those little stickers, are

My previous experiences at other nail salons were not great, but The Base Coat was recommended to me by a friend and Iām so glad I went. The pedicure was so relaxing and my feet have never looked so good. My nails turned out great as well. I will definitely be going here again.

Nice ladies but they did a rush job and over priced. Did not shape the mails well, when I asked them to clean the sides because they were going a nail fill and it looked messy she said that's an extra charge of $10. I had a gel pedicure as well abs they did t do my heels..: abs they did not clean the nails? ... also not good with curricular and the gel polish is chipped on a toe and they did t even fix it and I did t see it until I got home. Over priced and not great with nails

Love my nails! Best ones to date. I didnāt have to say āI like them thinā! Why should you have to?? Friendly, efficient and timely. I would have given 5 stars but I felt it could be a little cleaner and I did notice rusty clippers (just to cut new tips but stillā¦) and the floor could have used a little sweep. Not a deal breaker for me but could use a little attention to detail. I will go back. Base Coat is replacing my former salon - TV sitcoms playing all the time (thatās annoying). A sincere thank you goes a long way! Thanks Base Coat!

Went in for a manicure for 2 - both of our nail tech felt very inexperienced. I genuinely question their qualification to do nails. My nail tech did not bother to ask what shape I wanted for my nails , she just cut them into a soft square and buffing them harshly and painfully. My cuticles on 2 fingers were bleeding afterwards. When she painted my nails, they were bubbled up and thick - the sides of my nails were still sticky when she finished. I ended up asking for it to be fixed by a different tech. My sister's nail ended up chipping after 2 days. Though I appreciate the fact that they offered

The basecoat nails provides great services, especially for gel nails. My only complaint is that almost every single time I've been here, I'm always waiting 20 to 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I'm seen.
It bothers me that no one tells me how long I'll be waiting for.

Okay french tip (a little bit thick even tho i asked them to cut it down already), but wiping your dirty nail polish brush on my hand instead of a paper towel was unnecessary!!! heard good things about their solid colours, but i would recommend Ethereal Nail and Beauty up the street if you're looking for better french nails.

Okay I have found my nail place. I love getting my nails done but hate how assembly line they can be (unless you pay major $$$ for a high end salon.) The base coat is the price of an express nail parlor but the high end feel and treatment of a luxury spa. Another thing I find is most places are very rough with pedicures but I am currently sitting in a comfy chair getting my calluses removed and she is so gentle, I can barely feel her doing it because she's using the right tools and methods, not just going ham with a cheese grater.
Everyone here is so warm and kind, they also don't pressure
