Coach House on the Cove on South Pender Island is the perfect choice for your honeymoon or a romantic getaway. Our intimate oceanfront vacation cottage is situated in a lush garden and offers the luxuries and comfort of home. Inside the vacation rental are ceramic tile and hardwood floors, a cosy wood burning fireplace and tall paned windows overlooking the ocean.
Pender Island is really made up of North and South Pender Islands. The two islands were once one but were separated in 1902 by a canal dredged to allow easy access between Bedwell Harbour on South Pender and Port Browning on North Pender Island. They remained separated until 1955, when a single lane bridge was constructed to rejoin the two islands.
BC Ferries offers at least two sailings from Tsawwassen on the Mainland and at least six a day from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. Follow the ferry traffic from the terminal along Otter Bay Road until you come to a T intersection and a stop sign. Turn right onto Bedwell Harbour Road. Follow it past the Driftwood Centre (a small shopping area) and Prior Park (government campground).
During July and August, change over is Saturday. Occasionally during this time, shorter stays may be possible where guests stay longer than a week and a partial week becomes available. If booking is less than 30 days in advance, the full amount is due at the time of booking. A security deposit of $400 is required.
We had great fun watching the otters, reading in the sun, watching and listening to the kingfishers - we feel sooooo relaxed, and hope to be back again soon. We are so "Penderized" now that it is going to be torture working indoors all day- Ah, but we have our memories - our lovely hosts, the wonderful cottage, the abundant wildlife - a perfect vacation!

The Coach House is a spacious one bedroom cottage on the water and a dreamy getaway. Jane & Dennis, the hosts, are accommodating and very helpful with suggestions for visitors. They couldn't have been more welcoming! The kitchen is very well-equipped and
well maintained. The bed is really comfortable, and even square inch of the cottage is immaculate. Right off the dock or at water's edge are perfect places to launch paddle boards or kayaks. A choice of two decks offers views of beautiful sunsets. We definitely recommend this wonderful piece of paradise!

Excellent place to stay. Overlooks water. Best for 2 adults. Bedroom is in a loft with outdoor balcony. Nice living area on first floor, fully equipped kitchen, another outdoor deck off the kitchen. Owners live in a house on the property but the cottage is very private and right on the water. The owners are very nice and accommodating. They allow responsible dogs. No kids since it is small with only one loft bedroom. Hiking trails are adjacent to the property. Close to a very nice grocery store, pharmacy, and good restaurants. We highly recommend it. Not sure why there are not more reviews here

This waterfront cottage is perfect! It has everything you need with a comfortable bed, fully furnished kitchen, large patio off dining room, small patio off bedroom upstairs, both with spectacular scenic views. The property is filled with beautiful flower gardens. It's truly paradise here and you will want to stay more than a week! We saw otters, eagles, blue herons, and more!
