Services
The McKenzie Family has been serving families since 1946. Unlike other Funeral Homes, who may be a corporation or who offer minimal services, our family will walk you through every detail to make sure you and your family are taken care of. We are a third generation family owned funeral home. See below how our approach is different from the rest.
If a death has just occurred you can call us 24/7 and speak directly with George, Mildred, Mark, or Geoff and they will be able to help you and your family right away. When a death has occurred at a Hospice please know that most hospice staff & volunteers are very caring and allow family members to spend additional time with their loved one after the death has occurred (Usually 1-2 hours).
Parking Stalls 143 & 144, labelled "McKenzie" are reserved for families when they meet with us. If you have an appointment with us, please park there for your convenience. Whether we are preparing for a near death or planning for our future, we are faced with so many questions and decisions that need to be made. Thankfully you have turned to our website to create a plan or to learn more about why you should plan ahead. A loved one is currently at a hospital, hospice, or at home and I would like to plan ahead for an expected death.
A Burial Service can be anything from a simple graveside service to a funeral at your local church or selected venue. No matter the venue or location our family can be there to help guide you and the family on the day of the service.
From being in constant contact with the officiant/priest, staffing for the funeral, transportation of the casket to the service venue and to the cemetery, and providing staff to coordinate the service and guide the family and pallbearers.A private or public viewing of your loved one is a time for support from family and friends.

My siblings and I can’t begin to thank George, Mark and the wonderful staff at McKenzie Funeral Services enough. They were instrumental in helping us through two difficult losses (our father in 2013 and our mother in 2017) by gently guiding us through the steps required. Their genuine care and concern for our family, not to mention their knowledge and experience were appreciated beyond words. They came highly recommended to us and now we know why. For anyone dealing with loss, I would recommend McKenzie Funeral Services without hesitation.
