As their reputation grew within the industry, so did the number of Lordco locations throughout the province. In 1980, Ed bought Roy's stake in the business and expanded its presence in BC. Sadly, Ed passed away in 2014. To honour his legacy, Ed's wife, Marlyn, and children, Samantha, Ian, Sarah, and Candace, founded the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE
Good experience; worth another visit!

=== 2. PRODUCTS
I was actually referred here by the Canadian Tire automotive service representative. Whether you're a mechanic shop or a DIY'er, you'll be hard pressed to come up with a product they can't provide.

=== 3. SERVICE
What is strange is that you may need to speak to an advisor/salesperson in the back...only to have to return all the way to the front to pay...and hope the lady in the front knows what the price is. (I'm not sure why one couldn't simply pay at the back when the item was being entered

The guys working at the parts counter in the back all claim to be master mechanics which is a lie they've told themselves over years and years until the lie became reality. I went in asking for a specific part with pictures and measurements and they told me that's not what I needed so I had to buy and return the wrong part 3 times eventually to have them sell the original air filter I asked for. Unfortunately they didn't have the size I needed in stock so the master mechanic recommended I wrap electrical tape around a smaller filter and tighten the hose clamp "really hard"

From the ashes of Future Shop rose this beast of a Lordco.

Parking is available in the nice giant lot in front of the building.

This building is monstrous, and completely blows away the tiny previous Richmond location on No.3. The high ceilings also make this place look extremely spacious.

The selection seems about the same as the other locations, but there is so much more shelf space. Great for browsing.
