The Hotel Report

The Passage View Motel is a 30 room oceanfront accommodation, located in the city of Campbell River, on east side of central Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The motel directly overlooks the shores of the Discovery Passage, Quadra Island and the snow-capped Coastal Mountains. The motel is located on the ocean side of the Island Highway.

At check-in, you will need to produce one piece of Government Issued Photo Identification and a major credit card in your name. During check-in, we will pre-authorize your room fees on your credit card, as well as a $100 Incidental Deposit. At check-out, if there are no damages or smoking effects to your room, we will 'Force' through your payment and release the $100 incidental deposit.

I found this hotel to be very nice and cozy. It is kept very clean and managed very professionally. The view is outstanding and I would highly recommend anybody traveling through Campbell River to stay here.

It is an older model but it's very clean, has balconies with fantastic view of the ocean. Found the bed comfortable. Great value for the price. Would stay here again

Stayed here a couple of times while scoping the area for properties; our booking was always last-minute and the manager managed to have a room every time. Location is fabulous, right on the water with no roads to cross. Rooms were super clean and beds comfortable. Management is very friendly and runs a tight ship - price was good too. Fully recommend this place.

These people are amazing and so friendly! The rooms were great for the value! The views are nothing short of amazing. We have stayed several times and they always remember us right away. Missed so much staying last summer due to covid hoping we can make our way to this lovely place this soon!

Very clean room with spectacular view. Enjoyed watching the sunrise on the deck with our coffee. Watching the boat traffic go by and all the sea life was fun. Walking distance to downtown.

This motel was lovely to stay at. All the rooms have an ocean view. The hostess was very sweet and answered our questions about the city and helped up figure out a few things to do. The room itself was spacious and the view was spectacular. A few steps and you’re down at the beach.

The Passage View offers excellent value during high season on the island. Our ground floor room opened up to a lovely view of the bay, with a walk out shared patio. The patio includes a BBQ and there are stairs leading down to a beautiful rocky beach - my husband and I enjoyed listening to the gentle waves in the evening before tucking in to the cozy bed.
Everything was clean, the on-suite kitchenette has a good assortment of useful items (plus an electric stove top), and the owners are lovely (we met a daughter + mother team at the front desk). We also really enjoyed meeting Gracie the cat and

Had some my wedding guests stay here and my hubby and I stayed for a night as well. We had a great sleep, and woke up to an amazing view!! They were also very accommodating with putting a gift in each room for our guests and our friends/ family had nothing but good things to say about this place!
